Solo Nerf!

So soloing got nerfed.

It's sad. Gaile has always suggested we post our angryness about things on the major forums and they'd take into account our angryness and stuff.

Seriously! Soloing is a GOOD THING!

Got horrid guildies online and all the good guildies are offline? Solo farm!

Need to take a break from having to command your group of 8 from getting slaughtered in FoW? Solo Farm!

It's not completely detrimental to the economy! We've been living with it for a while now.

I loved soloing because I could take an escape of the duties of being a guild officer and go do something.... by myself (hence solo).... without heroes and henchmen.

More to the point, I don't solo just to get a crapton of goodies.... but it's also a part of the game I really enjoy! And without the drops, it makes me not want to do it because I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere.

Got horrid guildies at all? Find another guild. Don't want to leave behind the good guildies? Chances are they'll follow you.

And honestly, nerfing soloing is the worst possible decision Anet has ever made. Soloing requires a decent amount of skill compared to randomway PuG farming.

Soloing has always been fun, nerfing the rewards = not cool.

So you dont solo to get stuff....but without stuff you dont want to solo farm. Hmm.

Seriously, today I decided to begin saving up for FoW on my warrior. But with the solo nerf I'll never get anything better than the 15k glads armor.

I posted this in the other solo nerf thread might as well put it here also:
Gaile and the Devs said they were not against farming of any kind, even though they keep nerfing it in every way possible. Maybe they aren't and I am missing something, but that just doesn't add up.

I'm reluctant to post some screenies I took like an hour ago getting about 150k in drops. No solo farming isn't nerfed but I guess your present farming method is. sorry

it just says it scales, it's possible it scales up, meaning instead of solo farmer getting 1/8 what used to be normal, a party of 8 get 8x what used to be normal.. it oculd be either way till people get out there and rack up the time in the new system to determine which it is.

You make some good points. But here are some more to add to this.

First off this will hurt the Guild wars economy. Why? Well People will stop soloing dualing places which will make items more rare. In turn will raise there price and then that makes the poor stay poor and the rich get poor.

i've been saving for Fissure armor but now ecto prices are expected to rise this will then make me spend more time on the game(time that I don't have) farming for ecto.

This post might not make sense because at this moment I cannot even think striaght I am so infuriated with this update and with anet. Its sad to say but I just dont have time for this game anymore, at least time to get things done. So I think its time to uninstall Guild Wars from my Computer and call it quits. I've done alot of things in this game and have unfortunatly wasted $150 American dolars on this game and only God knows how much time I have wasted. Sorry Anet but first the Soul Reaping nerf which I could live with and that didn't really effect anything but the necros, but this is different it effects the intire economy inside of guild wars. My time as a Necromancer or any other proffession in Guild Wars is over. I know there are people who will say I'm over reacting but I've had it. Those people are probly the ones who have all the nice stuff already and dont have a worry in the world but I'm not one of them. Sorry Anet it was fun until you screwed me over...but thats the last time...I might get better service from Blizzard, maybe not but I think its worth a try again.

Drops happen as if you're in a whole party when you're not.

Just like HOw Volunteers at a Shelter don't do it for money but a simple Thank you makes it feel like what there doing is WORTH something.

and how is that awesome? you only get 1/8 of what would drop if you where soloing. That means you get alot less money.

Man that makes no sense. The OP said he didnt farm for stuff, yet he said he's quitting farming because he's getting no stuff.

That's like a volunteer saying he doesnt do it for the money, and then quitting the next day because he wasnt getting paid.

Apparently, now you always get the drops as if there were 7 other people with you - even if you are the only one in the party. If you go in with a full hero-hench group, you get the same drops as if you had soloed.

That's my reading of the game update notes, that is.

What will happen if you grab 7 henchies and send them away while you go solo?

Will you get 8 times the loot?!?!
