Hell's Precipice Chest Farm

Viable? I remember hearing rumors of this, I'm interested.
Enlighten me!

Are you asking if chest running Hell's is a good farming place? Id say if you have the patience, yes. But im not entirely sure if thats your question...

Looking to figure out HOW to do it. Preferably as a warrior.
Don't really care how long it takes so long as it's nothing ridiculous.

It was done long ago when they chests were static rather than random. W/A, R/A, were the preferred professions. Look it up. The International Dist(1) was the main meeting district. I used to run chests alot back there with many old buddies. Now that the new system is implemented, no one runs there, old buddies quit and its pretty much dead. It used to be a mutual system where everyone took one for the team at a unknown chest every run, but because of a few whiners, the whole system was changed to accomodate only a few losers who couldnt handle wasting a single key. Like how anet handles everything.

yes definitely viable, i did it as a Mo/R, not sure about warrior. Did around 100 chests nothing good dropped for me (had like a 13-1 purple-gold ratio) so i gave up. although others have told stories of huge success and good drops, didnt really happen for me.

EDIT: I only ran the last undead chest at the portals in search of that elusive r8 15^50 sephis axe

me and a friend still run it as w/a, quite easy, had a few dead bows 15^50 and +5e one, had some sephis axes, ive been getting about a 3:1, purple : gold ratio, also get alot of sup runes including sup vig.

I've done about 150 runs here in last month or so with Mo/R build. I've had about 5:1 purple:gold ratio so not exactly the best place. The best I've got out of it was 2 sup vigors. No gold sephis or dead items so far. (about 80% of chest was just the ones at the portals.)

I've run there before the nerf, it was just super easy to run.

In at least 5000 or so chests their werent any magmas shields that were perfect.

Ya it was the best place to chest run during prophecies and the majority of people wouldn't touch it. I couldn't tell you how many super vigs, and absorbs I got out of those chests. Got alot of rare magmas shields, none worth mentioning though. So glad they finally implemented the inscription system.

Used to buy keys by the 100's and run it, always made profit from the run. I'm sure the drop rate there has plummeted, it used to be very good run to get rares, haven't ran it in ages so I couldn't tell you what your odds are now. You can always get lucky and get that godly item there though.

i have loads of gold magmus but genrally with only 1 reduction or health bonus not both together

i havent ran there in a while, this thread brought back old memories.
