Skill updates
Assassin
  • Black Spider Strike: decreased damage to 5..20.
Dervish
  • Wearying Strike: increased recharge time to 6 seconds.
Elementalist
  • Mind Blast: reduced damage to 15..60.
Monk
  • Mending Touch: increased recharge time to 6 seconds.
Mesmer
  • Mirror of Disenchantment: increased recharge time to 20 seconds.
Necromancer
  • Animate Flesh Golem: decreased Energy cost to 10.
  • Dark Fury: fixed a bug in the skill's description that caused it to report its range incorrectly.
  • Icy Veins: increased Energy cost to 10.
  • Order of the Vampire: decreased Energy cost to 5.
  • Spiteful Spirit: decreased Energy cost to 10.
  • Well of Blood: decreased Energy cost to 10.
  • Well of Power: decreased Energy cost to 10, decreased casting time to 2 seconds.
Ranger
  • Natural Stride: increased recharge time to 12 seconds.
  • Otyugh's Cry: updated the text to reflect its functionality. This skill only affects your animal companion.
Ritualist
  • Brutal Weapon: decreased damage to 5..15, increased duration to 15..45 seconds.
Warrior
  • Burst of Aggression: decreased duration to 2..10 seconds.
Bug fixes
  • Fixed a bug that caused incorrect audio panning.
  • Increased the default mixing buffer size to correct audio distortion on some systems.
  • Fixed a bug with the minimized Chat panel that caused old messages to show when you changed maps.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the Hall of Heroes from appearing on the Observer list at times.
  • Fixed a bug in that Chat system that caused the ignore feature to work only on Whispers.

Hidden update:

They removed the monster skills from the template code as well.

Also, why aren't fiends boosted? I mean 25 energy to cast is ridiculous with the new SR. :/

I didnt even use BOA and they nerf it.
A-net hates assassins, hate em, hate em, hate em T_T.
Just making BoA ends if you attack a hexed foe would make everyone happy.
Since a frenzy sin is suicide and a flail sin is not nearly as potent.

They reduced the cost of Spiteful Spirit? Weird. Did not expect that.

I guess the SR complainers can stop now.

Well, the audio panning and chat bugs were a big one on people lists.

I still think there was some serious changes made in the game's overall system demands, I have had to make a lot of video card setting changes to counter crashes caused by a very specific are in game.

I'm surprised, as a necromancer yourself, you would say something like this. This is like throwing a half eaten chicken leg in the face of a starving dog.

Hardly solves the problem IMO because Lord knows EVERY Necro runs only SS build in PvE/PvP.

The SS reduction will go a long way towards making the SR nerf more palatable. I'd still like to see some more active e managment skills added to the SR line in GW:EN.

Are Fiends really that powerful that they need to keep their 25 energy requirement? Sure they have ranged attacks, fire kinda fast then the melee minions but they are glass figures that PvE monsters rip to shreds and love to bunch up. Of course this wouldn't be said under old Soul Reaping but is fitting with New Age Soul Reaping in effect.

Spiteful spirit costs now the same amount of energy than Empathy...

If only A.net has been as quick to decrease energy cost of mesmer's spells when they destroyed Inspiration...

Well after the SR nerf, these energy reductions are actually good. But no fiend reduction? That surprises me. I am a necro and i never leave town without fiend...they r killing fiends!

Grr Natural Stride was made even worse.
Otyough's Cry never did work correctly, they finally fixed it.

Why the hell did they reduce the damage of Mind Blast. YOU HIT THE WRONG 1!! REDIRECT THAT NERF BAT AT SEARING FLAMES :P...actually SF needs it but, reducing a move that many ppl ignore anyways? pfft.

Mirror? Who cares? How many Mesmers are actually left? Stupid ANet better bring sumthing good for mesmers in GW:EN.

Mending Touch...well maybe sum wammos will stop using it.

Brutal Weapon? Decrease damage...increased duration...no gain...no loss...who cares

Funny, they don't mind necros spamming SS in pve...

It's pretty sad, that Anet is too stubborn not even to try the solution wanted by a large part of the necro community "no energy from spirit deaths" for a test week.

I guess you missed the part where SS is an elite skill and empathy isn't. As for the mesmer skill cost, well I guess there just isn't as much mesmers in PvE to whine as there are necromancers.

I think those changes are good. Not sure I understand why BSS was made weaker now that BoA just got destroyed though.

Just how does reducing the energy cost of a few of the most used necro skills compensate for an sever energy increase for every other necro skill (outside signets)? Blah, the S.R. change did nothing but hurt creative builds and a couple flavor of the month pvp teams.
