FoW and UW Access Weekend

YES i get to screw around with my friends all weekend for free and not have any regrets ><

So non-Europeans are noobs? If only this weekend restricted Europe from getting in the realm of the Gods.

Well, you can't normally access FoW/UW from the Int. Districts because of the Favor system... but perhaps with the temporary removal of this it may be possible to enter FoW/UW with cross-continental teams via these districts.

Two great things coming up for Guild Wars! I might have to break away from my other game and come splurge on GW this weekend. Looking forward to it, Friday cannot come fast enough.

I'm betting thats what Anet had on their mind when they did this.

Free access all weekend, and no Favor of the Gods attached, their going to watch this weekend and see how it pans out. If it goes well, they may move on and change it up a bit. If it goes horrible, and the entire economy gets messed up ( I doubt this will happen) they will most likely keep it around.

Obviously if it goes great we can expect to see FoW and UW no longer attached in the future, of course the cost will always be there.

Nope. I doubt it, based on ANet's past behavior.

They've held two weekends where Urgoz's and The Deep were open to everyone, and that has *not* lead to any permanent changes in access to those elite areas.

Much as I like the game, I see this as a bone being tossed to those players who are unhappy with the favor system. Gaile has said, in several chats, that she sees no reason to change the favor system.

So take advantage while you can.

Hmmm and just as I get enough ectos for my armor, their value goes in the tank. Sigh...
Oh well, I'll make a profit this weekend anyway.

Woooow this is great! I was just planning to go to UW with some guildies this weekend, and it turns out to be free now! Now we don't have to be all nervous when America takes favor, or when we almost die, be scared cause we might've lost 1K.

I'd like to see them come up with a counter to the W/Rt build. What's that, you can't remove Signets or Item Spells? Oh well I guess nothing can really counter the build...
