I am yet to have a character that utilizes a full set of the same armor...personally, I find taking a "matching set" off the shelf to be rather boring.

Out of all the obsidian I'd have to say that the best looking are the assassin armours. (Fortunately for me.) But the female one looks better even though it loses detail with black dye. (Unfortunately for me, having a male assassin.)

I haven't compared any other armour set except for 15k imperial, partially. Out of the 15 imperials that I DID see, I prefered the male assassin.

I looked at those particular sets because I like the way those particular assassin armours looked. I looked at the assassin armours table first, you see.

EDIT: Oh yeah, ancient, I've checked that out, too. (Also due to the reason above.) In ancient, I like the male assassin and the female ranger armours.

Obsidan: Necro or Dervish

Canthan: Assassin Exotic
Kurzick: All
Luxon: All

IMO Ascended Luxon and Kurzick armors are the best looking in the game, all around for all characters.

Primeval: They all look good(except for paragon IMO)
Vabbian: Necro, Mesmer, or Paragon
Elite Sunspear: Paragon
Ancient: Ranger and Necro

As I'm female and my characters are female, I'm only going to speak for the female armour =)

Obsidian (15K) - Mesmer! Love love love it, (still saving -.-) the skirt is so cute!

Canthan (15K) - Not really a fan of the 15k canthan on any chars, probably mesmer.

Luxon (15K) - Elementalist, its just pretty =)

Kurzick (15K) - Again, Elementalist and Mesmer

Elite Sunspear (15k) - Monk! tassley!

Vabbian (5K) - Dervish and Paragon are prettiest IMO

Ancient (10K) - Ritualist stands out

Primeval (15K) - None. I'd say Mesmer As I love the style, if it didnt make the char look fat -_-



As for grotto armour, Ranger 15k druids and Elementalist 15k Aeromancer (sparkly!) =]

I 100% agree with this. I like having a unique look for my chars.

Just as one example, my female ele:
15k Aeromancer Legs
15k Hydro Boots
15k Pyro Gloves
Sunspear Robes

Sure, the stats suck, but she's the best dressed out there.

I also agree with this, though I have my preference in armour sets overall which I've stated, I don't have A SINGLE character that hasn't mismatched some pieces.

For example, My Ele, Cassiel Angelfire has 15k aeromancer leggings/skirt, 1.5k kurzick gloves and boots and top, cos I think the combo looks great and I've had quite a few compliments on it =)

Classes not mentioned have my favorite armors from Prophecies, aka Tyrian armors. Why do you say "only high end", cause last time i checked Prophecies has 15k armors too (high end). Stats shoudn't matter since you are talking aesthetics anyway.

My favorite Tyrian sets are 15k Aeromancer (Fem), 15k Enchanters + 15K Rogues (Fem), 8k Ascetics (Male). And some of my armors are mixes of different elite armors, which i of course like best... ill stop rambling though, lol!

15k Kurzick Monk female is by far the best armor set in the game. None others are worth discussing.
