Attention girl gamers - you're invited!
Building on the success of our previous Girl Power Hour events, our amazon army will march forth this Sunday on the Heroes' Ascent.
Come explore the world of PvP with us! To unlock this outpost, map to the Great Temple of Balthazar from the boat and talk to the Canthan Ferry Captain on the Isle of the Nameless who will map you to the Random Arenas. From there, you must win 5 matches which will unlock the Team Arenas. Again, you must win 5 matches which will unlock Heroes' Ascent. Please take notice that those areas will be unlocked for all characters on the same account.
It doesn't matter if you haven't try PvP. This event is meant to gather all the female gamers and have fun.
We will meet this Sunday, March 11th, in our regular meeting place, the Temple of the Ages, International District 1, at our regular meeting time, 1:00 PM Eastern Time (10:00 AM Pacific, 6:00 PM GMT).
Female players only, please. (Females playing male characters are welcome.) Of course there's no way for us to check, but please respect the women who wish to gather for this event to play with other female gamers.

The guys are whining again and quite frankly, it's stupid. This was all already brought up in the first thread and the mods told everybody to keep it on topic.
But since you're all having such a hissy fit about it, I'll say this. Sometimes girls get very offensive, sexist, and harrassing comments from people in this game when people discover that they're a girl. Girls that play video games obviously have to be fat, ugly, and too stupid to actually have real friends. Right. I play this game to have fun, and if I can't be who I am without being harrassed for it, then I'm not having fun.
My guild is made entirely of guys, except for me. In most of my previous guilds I have been the only girl. I don't really have a problem with that because I like guys just fine and I can hang with them just fine. But sometimes it's nice to be in the company of females too because a lot of times they're more like me in our thoughts, reactions, etc. I don't have many opportunities in this game to meet "like-minded" people, other than just standing in a town somewhere and screaming "HEY GIRLS LET'S BE FRIENDS!!!"
There are guilds out there that are Christian only. There are guilds that are female only. There are guilds that are male only. If you can think of any possible labeled group, you can bet that there is a guild somewhere in the game that excludes them for whatever reason. Is it right? Maybe not. But it's their choice. If a group of guys doesn't not want to include a group of girls because they think girls are annoying and they feel they'd have more fun with just guys, then that's their prerogative and they can do what they please.
If you don't like it, don't come. If you don't agree, get over it. If you feel terribly excluded, make your own group at the exclusion of others. You poor, poor oppressed boys.

i participate because it's a cool way to meet other girl gamers.
just to socialize and not have to worry about some guys becoming to aggressive while in battle (no offense, and some chicks do, but *usually*, not always, but *usually* it's the guy that gets a little to adrenaline rushed. not that it's super bad or anything, really, and like i said it happens to girls too *is a good example* but it's a less so case for girls. it's cos we don't have testosterone xD)
i don't see this as a way to prove we're better or to stand out. it's probably just cos of the naming, but i think it's cute and it's been used for general things like this before.
i just think of the whole "power hour" deal as to get together and be girls :P

Hey there,
now this sounds really fun and I'd love to participate, the only problem is that I'm not so sure if I have the time to on that particular Sunday. I've never really PvPed (apart from excessive Alliance Battling almost every day :P) and this seems like a nice start; the part about meeting friendly fellow female players is of course great, too.
So if I have some spare time I'd love to take part; if not - are you planning to repeat the "event" if it goes well?
Cheerio
