Does that sound antiquated and a tad irrelevant? It is. It's 2007 and they need to market concurrently to both their existing players as well those who haven't played before. We are their primary source for "word of mouth," which is now fundamental.
I deeply enjoy GW and find the game continually interesting and challenging. I hope and expect their marketing to rise to the high level of competency and creativity set by the game development team. For reference, they might want to examine some Internet marketing case studies, just as a noob Harvard MBA would when faced with the challenge.
