[Suggestion] /afk and your online status

When you type the /afk emote, your online status should be changed to either Away or even "AFK".

When you're back and move in game, trade or some other form of interaction the status should be reset to Online.


Addition: This could also be shown in the Guild list. The icons beside the names could be changed to reflect status as well, much like Windows Live Messenger does.

I think they should just do that for the Away option in the friends list and then like you said when you do something it's back online.

The game could also set you 'afk' or 'away' if you dont do anything for 5-10 minutes, and this could be completely client side like the 'Please take a break' notification or sumthink ~

But for /afk, not for /sit!

I sit lot of times, when taunting enemies chasing me, while in dialogs in missiones, etc...

There could be an option to the 'general' tag:

[X] Set away status automatically after this time: [input box]

me = lazy and forgetful some times

so i will hit /afk and then come back to se my guildies pissed cause they think i was ignoreing them >.<

I believe this would be very simple for Guild Wars to implement.

Yup. Both automatically after some minutes and directly by using the emote.

ye it's a good idea. Happens so many times that I go afk, forget about the friend list and when I am back I see tons of whispers...

Make it something toggle-able.

I'd also like something to the effect of "Every time you enter a GvG, your status is automatically set to 'Do Not Disturb'." that you could toggle.

This just makes sense.

This is like, the 3rd time today I've seen you advertising for WoW here.

It's not fun at all. I personally played it for about 4 months, thinking it was eventually going to get fun, and it never did. I went right back to GW. If you want to bask in your WoW-faggotry, take it somewhere else, because it has nothing on Guild Wars (except player-base size, but 95% of the people that play it are douchebags anyway).

Forget about WoW.

Just think if it will be good for GW or not.
