Well the reality just sank in. I am really sorry about scamming the people and I wish I never did it. All I have done for the past 20 or so months was play GW and now that I can't do that I have no reason to even live anymore. I know this sounds pathetic but GW was a sanctuary for me from the pressures of life. Whenever I would get depressed I would log onto guild wars and play with my e-friends.

I was wondering if it would be possible to change the ban from this account to another one of my accounts instead. The account that got banned was a leader of a guild. My guildmates were my only psychological support and without them I don't think that I could live.

I would do ANYTHING to get my account back, I have literrally put my blood,sweat, and tears into those characters. Taking them away would be like taking away a baby from its mother.

My parents got me the GW campaigns as gifts and when they found out that I got banned, well they didn't take it well. Not only do I want the account back now for fun and enjoyment, I also need it for my own well being.

If its possible to unban this account and in exchange ban my other 2 accounts I would be willing to do that. It took me forever to get to rank 8 and get my characters the way I want them.

I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever try to do anything that might even remotely be close to being kinda wrong. Please for the love of god give me another chance.



That is my support ticket to Anet, in short I exploited a glitch and I got banned for it. I agree that I should be banned but not forever, especially not for a first time offense. Please sign the petition and hopefully anet will give me another chance.

I couldn't give less about your feelings, just as you give less for the feelings of the people you scammed. If you've learned the lesson, buy a new account?

No way, you got what you deserve and have to pay the consequences for it so welcome to life on earth.

I am presuming you exploited the glitched trade window bug?

If that is the case, then yes you deserve a ban, but if it is your first offence and there are no other flags on your account for previous misbehaviour, then the ban should probably not have been a perma-ban. A couple of weeks, would have been enough, along with a stern warning that that was your last chance.

It is easy to blame people for exploiting bugs like this, but I do in some ways also blame the forums for spreading them around.

It's a catch 22.. do you post something like that that you have discovered on the forums to warn other users? Do you just report it to ANet? If you post it, you just know that someone is going to try and use that information to their advantage, and it may just be too tempting to someone either immature, or simply weak willed.

I am not expecting you to get much sympathy here, but being a lot older than many of the other forum users myself, I can see that temptation is a terrible thing at times.

Maybe I am just getting soft in my old age.

So you scammed people (knowing it was wrong and against the eula) and now want your account back? gtfo. I have no sympathy for you. I mean, do you really think you wouldn't get caught? You scammed and didn't care about who you screwed, so enjoy your ban. If everyone gets a second chance because they scammed people, they're likely to do it again. Makes me happy Anet actually takes care of people like this. The only time people should be temporarily banned is for an offensive name or talking crap in chat. Posting here doesn't help you either
