55Monk question(Searched no avail)

Well I used the exact same build from this:

As I finally used it , i notice it was fairly slow at killing trolls,is there alternative to one of the spells to make the killing much faster?

you could use spiteful spirit, spoil victor or sliver armor + glyph of renewal..

anyways.. farming trolls is boring and the profit is quite modest.. so you'd better just find yourself an SS/famine-ranger/smiter and go to uw instead..

Shield of Judgement is because it can free your secondary to use usually for Warrior for Bonetti's defense (primary reason you can survive as a 55 monk against large amounts of melee aggro). The problem is that it is an extremely slow killer. Vespertine covered the usual substitutions. Mo/N is usually preferred to combine Spiteful with Reckless Haste, making for a relatively fast killer. If your goal is to make money, i'd do what he said, find a partner for UW, or go solo with the warrior/rit solo VWK build (for when everyone is ripping you off when they partner with you)

so to save another thread can u still famin UW?, with the nerf to SV/AV?

You never really needed sv/av to farm UW, simply multiple hexes for the smites. SV/AV simply made it easier to do it, and they are still effective for farming.

From Tsunami Rain's 55hp build there should be Zealots fire, and SoJ... judging that from the looks of your post your smiting prayers arent 16..
making money does take time... its not a instant thing

What are the counters to NM's now? 1 second cast makes it just about impossible to wand to death, and virtually the only way to counter them is SB...

To be honest, troll farming is a complete and utter waste of time. It gives some of the worst drops in the game.

Lose the blessed signet, add zealot`s.
Simple as that.

my 'normal' 55 monk build which i change, depending on were i am going is,

prot spirit
Shield of Absorb/ healing breeze (make sure u have healing breeze if you going against monsters giving you higer than -3 health degen)
Shield of judgemet(damage dealer)
blessed signet
Zeliots fire(this is the chageable skill, depending on where your going)
Blessed aura
Balths spirit
mending

my att are set at

healing=8
smithing=15
protect=14
divine=8

this is with all atribute points and runes of supirior on ur armour, hope this helps

Also not using 16 smiting and using that much prot prayers just to raise the duration of spirit(and not all enchants, mind you; thats a 23% blessed aura) is downright silly. Aura is there primarily to extend SoJ, not to make your PS as lenghy as possible. Shield of Absorbtion blows now because of the cast time Vs duration.

but the funny think is i can do all farms with that basic build so its not bad plus u only have 2 wait 10 seconds when soj ends 2 use it again

You can farm Blessed Griphons REALLY well with this build, and they get knocked down. True, about 10% of them scatter after they hit 50% health, and you have to actually move and hit them once so they start attacking again. So what.
You CAN farm only using SoJ: it`s just much slower than if you were using Z.Fire too. Plus, you don't need blessed signet at all, so why bother.

Plus, you don't need blessed signet at all, so why bother. proberbly because ur farmign no more than 3 at a time, if u where to take on 4 then they will scatter but 1-3 is ok what gilburt put down is true, u cant farm any foes who attack with an sword/Scyth/Axe/hammer/ daggers in groups larger than 3 or thay will scatter
