Worst. Event. Ever.

PLEASE CLOSE THREAD, I am sick of immature, stupid people personally insulting me just because I am saying what I think rather than sucking up to Anet. You all make me sick and show everything that is wrong with these forums and everything that is wrong with people in game. I think you really are pathetic.

Most people who replied to this either insulted me personally which is just off here, or continually claim that we CANNOT SHOULD NOT AND MUST NOT criticise ANET. That is utter bs. It is only criticism that advances the game. I will never post my opinions on these forums again I think you should be ashamed.

When I posted here I expected criticism of my opinion, not ciriticism of my personality. The last thing I want is damned life lessons from you people. THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MY OPINIONS ON A BLOODY COMPUTER GAME AND THE WAY I LIVE MY LIFE, and the fact that you people cannot see it is disheartening and repulsive.

I fail to see how free hats and mini pig pets for all make this a bad event.

I think the hats are the best ones to date. They dye really well and look pretty spiffy imo.
So you paid 60k for a pig, more fool you. Sorry but that's just the way it is. As for the chef's I do agree here, it was a slighty silly idea and the rewards just don't warrant the effort spent by those (imo, stupidly) farming the items for the ingredients.

I'd give this event a 7/10.

The only thing I disliked about this event, was the lack of an exciting ending like every other event that I've been to had. This one lacked sorely in the entertaining department at the end.

I thought it was fun, though i still have my complaints.

The hats are traditional chinese new year type lion heads, if you dont like them...then why did you go to a chinese themed event ;P Personally, i thin they are very cute.


The ending was a bit anti-climactic and only caused massive lag on my end. I have a HUGE headache from staying up.

I think the chefs should have been more generous with some of those ingredients, some people PAID a lot of money for them. This is what i truly feared, all that farming, was not worth the time invested.

Yes sadlt it's true. there is no exclusive item that you can sell for uber $$$ and the required 10-25 ectos.

I feel sorry for the folks who brought mini pigs for 30ks, what a shame. But then again I guess they did get what they paid for. A mini-pet back when they were semi-exclusive

But dam dude let go of the Anger before it consumes you, it not even that much of a big deal.

I do agree with the pig and the chefs..
A guildie and I did farm for almost all of it and after getting one token for each one was a joke.

Well I don't know, if so cool I hope it's good. But if this is the end...then I don't think they did a really good job in the exciting department. I don't know what it was, maybe it's just me...but I didn't get the same feeling that I did for the 2 Wintersday and Halloween events I've been at, and the 4th of July one. I mean all we had to do was run to the guy and turn ingredients in. In fact only one person had to, everyone else could just sit there and do nothing. I mean what fun is that??

Chasing the pig around was something, if anything actually came of it. No gifts dropped, nothing chased us around while we had to bring something to someone..or anything like that..it was just be idol talk in caps and chase that pig around for no reason.

I don't really understand, I never said I paid 60k for a pig, if you want to bag me then at least read properly. I spent 60k worth of tokens on a pig that I could have sold instead.

I know for a fact that many many many people also spent a lot of time to earn a mini pig and also were extremely disappointed when they got handed out free for all so enough of this righteous rubbish. COngrats to all those who are so pleased about getting one for free, what you can't see is that others spent a LOT of time WORKING for one, only to have everyone get one for literally nothing.

It sucked.. I spended 30k on tokens, 75g each, and I didn't get one single pig.. -.-

I have to agree that this event was a let down. I dont like the masks and I was so proud of my pig until the dull ending in which everyone rejoiced in receiving one. Trying hard to get the pig is fair enough, it was hard to get and rock, paper, scissors was a drain.
It sure is going to be the year of the pig with them swarming our ankles in every town.

If you think the fact that everybody gets an opportunity to get an item a fiasco, then I feel sorry for you and I suggest maybe stepping outside for awhile, because you're taking the internets far to seriously.

There were lots of people who opened up hundreds of fortunes and didn't get a pig. I'm sure many of those people are pleased now that they were able to get one. It's nobody's fault but your own that you wasted time trying to get a pig from a lunar fortune.

So you don't have an item that you can sell for lots of money and you can't use the mini pig for a status symbol. Oh well, you'll get over it.

~200 fortunes and no pig later, well, I'm happy I got one.

To everyone who disliked the event I have two words for you: Pig + Catapult.

Personally the OP is just crying because he didnt get to milk the event. personally i opened arround 100k worth of lunar fortunes no pig so im STOKED i get one after all my hard work. Yet i am a little heartbroken i missed the chance to milk it but be happy for what you're given

I think it was the lack of interaction that was involved. Now you could interact if you wanted, although there wasn't much to interact with. But not like the other events, where you'd have to actually interact to get something. This time, you only get about 5-10 tokens..which is 3 of those things at max.. don't even have to do anything to get your pig or red bags, because other people can do it for you.

That's the only thing that let me down, just wish there was more to do in this event that didn't take going out to places, getting frustrated trying to get collector items that won't drop.

Well people thought the only way to get the pig was from a lunar fortune so how is it his fault he tried to get one?
