The inclusion of a panda minipet excludes the option of a minipet combat ever being added since originally they didn't add pandas to the game as normal pets because pandas being hurt in video games is banned in certain countries where Guild Wars is sold. Therefore there is no way they would let a panda minipet be hurt, which means minipet combat is off the table for good.
