# Ranger pet adjustments. We're pleased to say we have a rudimentary version of pet controls up-and-running on our test servers. We’re looking forward getting those into the live game as soon as we’ve examined all of the play balance issues this might introduce.

So its immature to voice your disagreement? Considering that gws is going through a period of change and the devs have ASKED for feedback, way to insult people for voicing their opinions.

As per Gaile's post, I'm looking forward to some diversity in paragon builds. Yes there are some excellent damage skills however not much outside of gfte and stand your ground is appeal from a buffing perspective. Having paras degenerate to the role of "ranged warrior" would be sad imo. Role diversity will "save" the paragons and i have confidence that anet will get it right, eventually. (maybe not in this chapter...)

I proposed something similar but more on the lines of limiting the amounts of certain skill copies in a teamset (only 3 copies of Searing flames per team including an echo). I played many TCG games and some cards are limited to a certain amount per deck in some TCGs and i think GW would benefit to something of that effect.

As per my daze suggestion, i feel that there should be some way to hamper the usage of shouts as well as strip it outside of Well of Silence, and i think buffing Daze to work outside of the caster class would be interesting.
Instead of buffing daze to include shouts or chants...how about a new condition called sore throat? why not? I seen some people asking for new conditions...
the effect could be shouts and chants AoE be reduced to adjacent addies, chants N shouts take 2 times longer to work , and/or it only affects the user of the chant or shout but not the allies...

BTW, overall...this is a wonderful update

I'm a little confused about the Miniature pet thing...So like the first 20 people in the town will be able to show their pets, while everyone else won't be able to?

Sweet that log in thing makes me happy. I've got 3 accounts now and it's a pain to keep logging in every time I just want to swap to another character on the same account.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, go ANET! I love all of the changes, particularly those made to the Paragon last week (MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!). Seriously, though, the changes made and the upcoming changes will improve both gameplay and QOL. I love the mini-pet in town idea; it will give towns a bit more of a homey feel to them, particularly as they are now only gathering places. Great job, guys!

I imagine they plan on using Mini-pets are rewards for other things besides the Rollerbeetle races, so allowing you to see them in town adds more value to the prize.

Not to mention inscribable Obsidian armor.

More on topic: The log-in change was pretty cool, but I already set up a command line shortcut so it would always enter my password on start up. I'm not saying the update is pointless, because entering code sucks so this rules!

"More PvE options for Mesmers"...Now that I'm looking forward to. I was thinking of starting a mesmer, and this will do nothing but encourage me to go through with it. The better pet controls sounds pretty fun, too. Here's hoping it's something interesting.

Not too sure about the Skills panel...I'm gonna log in and check that out.

But I do hope they do something more for the Paragons...They're just so cool lookin'!

I'm a wee bit worried about paragons - on the skill balance article on guildwars.com, they're not even mentioned, whereas every other class is. That's surprising considering how many changes there were. Me, I'm still digging my paragon and I'm thinking of putting together some all paragon teams for PvE fun. I'm not complaining as I still think paragons are fun, but with so many people saying "waah paragons suck now", well, it's going to limit the group-finding capabilities of paragons. :P

I love the log out to character selection one; this is going to so rule.

I'm also glad to hear that the mesmer in PvE thing is under discussion. There's some people who love having mesmers along, but I get the sneaking suspicion they probably have mesmer chars themselves.

Thanks for the updates, Gaile - we really appreciate it! :: hugs Gaile ::

Any inconsistancies or ramblings in this post are a direct result of heavy doses of cold medicine.

Hopefully the part about further working on paragon balance and diversity, will mean that future updates will give paragons more options, but try to keep them useful, yet not something that can be overpowerful if used by multiple paragons on the same team?

Oh, and more on mesmer PvE use.
It would be nice if mesmer's inspiration line had some type of group e-management. I bet that would make primary mesmers wanted a whole lot more.
It would have to be something that only gives a good return if a lot of points were put into the inspiration line. It would also promote PvE mesmers specializing in inspiration!
I understand that this would be encroaching on Paragon soil though. I don't know how that would work out.

So just because people previously had to unnecessarily go through hell means that everyone else afterwards have to go through hell as well? You yourself have described the experience as being "hell" so that means you thought the experience was horrible. And it means you're just being selfish to want to prevent making the experience better.

It's like someone who suffered through cancer and then trying to stop the cure for cancer for others just because he want others to suffer as he did. Totally selfish.

Log in change is nice. That they are looking into/testing pet controls is nice. The Mini pet thing ........ hmmm.

As for the Paragon, recently started one and having fun with - so the skill changes are something that I did not have to adjust to.

Wondering what they mean by looking at bow skills for the Ranger, will be interesting.

No mention of Razah - I'll leave that alone for now.

Two ritualist heroes! One being Razah, the one people obtained, or will obtain in DOA and having all Nightfall ritualist skills unlocked.
Another being a copy of professor Gai's model or one of the other ritualist NPCs obtainable in Cantha and only having the basic starter Factions ritualist skills unlocked.

Thanks Gaile for the news. Even though in my posts I seem disheartened I really do appreciate the steps Anet is taking to fix HA again. Question is: Since the majority seem to enjoy 8v8 over 6v6 can we expect to see it premanent and with old mechanics since it is apparent that kill count doesn't work?

A lot of fun stuff. I'm not worried about the Paragon tweaking - never been much of a spear chucker anyway. Still <3 my Paragon to bits.

Hehe, Mini Racing...is there going to be a title for that? A race track? "Everyone to D4 at the top of the hour for Mini Racing!" Hehe.

Great. Minpets might go up in value now. Rangers pet command im extremely excited about, since pets are just plain useless, except for BB groups. Great update, and good luck on the pet controls!

¬_¬ i didn't think of that, thanks for spoiling my day v_V.

Well not really but lets hope it is an improvement and not a removement..
