Troll Mino Farming with a W/E

I remember back when a Warrior/Monk could farm trolls and minos and it was so much fun. Unfortunatley due to the AI update where mobs of 4 or more rotate damage, this proved to be the end of the common troll and mino warrior farmer. My warrior can still farm Vermin as a W/E, but that gets tiresome and the exp is low. After reading Dont Feel No Pain's Mist Form build I decided to make my Elementalist my main farmer. I was doing awesome but I still miss farming on my Warrior. So I decided to move the template to my Warrior and it works!


You people look at the skills and think, Warriors don't have the energy for this build. Well you're WRONG!




I'd like to thank Dont Feel No Pain's build Pure Fire Ele Troll farm (under 15 second) as inspiration for trying this build on my Warrior, which resulted in success.

I wouldn't take the time to get all these skills on my Warrior when I already have them on my ele, with about 70 energy so it's easier and faster, I say leave the ele farming to the eles and move on with your warrior..

No offense, but this build, in my opinion, is more work than it is worth... Minos and Trolls hardly drop anymore anyway, Trolls have great XP, that's about the only thing they've got going for them...

Good build, but like I said, I think you should just leave the ele farming to the eles...

And David did you really make your money back from farming trolls and minos?? They don't drop the way they used to, but they do drop somewhat decent still... Some runs you get nothing but crappy troll tusks, and some you get some weapons.

I have gotten a few fellblades from trolls, just no good ones.. only white and blue.. Plenty O' Raven Staffs

While the presentation is very fancy looking and all, do we really need another troll farming build?? Troll farming has to be one of the least profitable ways of farming. Find a way to apply this build to an area that actually has semi-decent drops and this might be worth looking at.

Kudos to your excellent ability to present your build in an easy to read and easy on the eyes format though.

Yeah, I agree.. I didn't think about that, we do have a LOT of troll farming builds, 55's can do it, eles can do it, rangers can do it, rits can do it, and probably a dervish but i haven't seen a build for one yet...

Everyone thinks trolls are so good for money, they are pretty useless now, but here and there a purple might drop for you... a week or 2 ago i got my first gold from trolls in like.. a month...

Minos are pretty useless too, especially since the price of their horns went down, they don't drop much of anything else...

5 troll tusks = 40 gold
5 troll tusks for a collector's item in Snake's Dance
Aforementioned collector's item in Snake's Dance = 125 gold
Average (for me) ammount troll tusks dropped per run = 6

You do the math on that one. I don't see people buying tusks at 20 gold each for the bones. ;P

Yes, I know my luck sucks a huge nut with drops, trust me... I wouldn't be searching this forum constantly for new farming spots if my luck did not suck a huge hairy nut drops-wise..

I don't ditch troll tusks, everything and anything that ever drops for me ANYWHERE, white gold blue purple or green, I pick it up and even if it sucks, it's merchant money and something is always better than nothing..

I don't believe how you got all those golds... Trolls aren't that good anymore, I think you got lucky...

About it being better than the ele build, it is not... Heaven forbid one or two minos don't die, you can just use lava font and take them out, I know how to do it at least... I don't farm minos though, trolls are better....


But, usually, when I DO get a drop, it's pretty damn good... at least that's how it is in SF and stuff... but solo farming, I don't get that many golds, don't know why... I wonder if it's some complex system A Net has for each player... I was in FoW the other day, this one guy got like 5 shards a gold chaos axe and another gold staff, everyone else got purples and some others got 1-2 obsidian shards... I got nothing, a few purples and a shitty gold... However I had enough dark remains to sell to the merch for 1.4k...

Funny my Ele primary uses that very bar, the trolls are dead in 10seconds or less...you must have a lot of negative energy sets to pull the full nuke combo off on a WARRIOR.

His bar is solid anyways.

Use armor of mist to run to the cave, gather them up and cast the nukes in order.

Well the only way this would be better on a warrior is if you can tank the trolls without using Mistform. Signet of Stamina + Dolyak + Endure might be enough, then take Savannah Heat as your elite to kill them faster.

or just don't use a warrior at all to do this.. That always works..

Like I said like 100 times, just leave the Ele farming to the Ele's... I understand that you miss farming them on your warrior, but hey, we all miss the old days of prophecies before they nerfed it to it's last straw.. Trolls are decent, minos suck, and warriors using a 100% ele build to kill them, why is beyond me...

I'm not trying to be mean or be an asshole, but I think your fighting a losing battle.. Warriors can solo other stuff, look at the builds in this forum..

Sometimes you get a hot streak with golds, doesn't matter what professions you're using, what or where you're farming. How about I post a screenshot in this thread whenever I get a gold item with my warrior citing the date and time it dropped? =P

You could have kept this build to yourself, and it would have changed what... nothing... there are PLENTY of builds for minos and trolls, they have to be among the easiest farming spots... I agree with Coloneh, just use warrior skills like everyone else..

And that is a *RARE* occason, a mino or 2 survive, but does that mean "Z0MG A MINO SURVIVED MUST USE T3HZ WAR!!" no...


The reason your getting "shit" is because you need to just leave ele builds to eles.....
