Increase number of rangers?

The Rangers got buffed overall during the updates. Nice elites like Incendiary and Glass Arrows got buffed. I myself is planning to cap Glass Arrow 'cause of its insane additional damage. Not to mention the bleeding when blocked (no worries about being evaded since there's no more evasion). At 13 Expertise, Glass Arrow mixed with Keen Arrow, Marauder's Shot, or Focused Shot can do a lot of damage.
One third of the new players start with a ranger, according to a poll here, it's no surprise that some will make it into PvP.
From observing GvG I can't say their numbers increased in the last weeks, or so. Shortly after the GvG rank-reset Rangers seemed rare, but now many of the higher ranked guilds seem to deploy a ranger.
Burning Arrow and Apply Poison make it feasible for a Ranger to solo against NPC's, and some player characters

As for me, I just started a new Ranger. Not because I plan on going to the Tombs with her but because Ranger is something I've never really gotten into. I have a Ranger already but...I dunno, something isn't right. I'm going Wilderness Survival and Trapping (the background music in Istan is WONDERFUL when you're creeping around trapping!!) and I'm enjoying it a lot more now.
