Been farming lately and I have noticed that after a while, monsters don't drop anything, but sometimes they do...it seems to be very random. I keep hearing all this "run or do a mission or something, it will get rid of the 'anti-farm code'." Now when I heard this I figured it was just a rumour, and it seems to be the "rumour-type," but lately...I don't know. So, does anyone have any proof of this hidden code, or has had similar expierences to mine?

You have to have tips enabled for the window to pop up. When it does, it simply informs you that repeatedly killing the first few enemies of a zone decreases your drops. by the time you see the blue window, though, your drops have usually ALREADY gone through the floor.
best bet is to farm an area a few times, then move on to another. My warrior will do Ettins for a hour, then Maguuma centaurs, then hydras, then trolls, then back to ettins. Running missions is supposed to also help reset the anti-farm code, but it's not all that difficult to avoid triggering it to begin with.

patently incorrect. it may pop up if you just enter an zone and kill the first few mobs repeatedly, but it won't pop up if you farm ectos for hours on end, or do boss farming
Anti-farm certainly does exist, and has been discussed as a reality by the dev team.

This Wiki page has a screen shot of the warning message about 3/4s of the way down the page.
I triggered this myself on one occasion before I even knew what farming was..(I was killing monsters to gain the last few thousand XP to get to level 20) It scared the living daylights out of me!! LOL

It is a code in that it is a part of the programming code, or scripting code on the server. Whoever said it wasn't is misinformed. It is a part of the game code and as such it is an anti farming code. One could argue the semantics of code but I think that the accepted definition here has always been a part of actual programming code or scripting language.
supposidly if you just complete a quest normally the code will drop; I'm not sure, but if you chest run in DoA, than go in to do some actual killing, the whole partys drops are nerfed. It actually makes me really sad, because it's sort of an over nerf. If you do the same area like two or three times (keep dying in the middle) only like 1/1000000 kills drop something (that's an over-exxaderation).
Question is, how do we get the droprate back up?
I heard playing missions will get it back up. However, I just did that and I still get all white items.
Also, when the decrease strikes in FoW or UW (core areas), which mission do you play to get the increase (since all missions are non-core) - or does this not apply?
Any thoughts?
Oh yea, ecto is at 11k now, gg. heh.

The code thing seems to trigger just if you engage monsters, though I'm not too sure how accurate this is. It was a while back when I was just learning to play vengeful rits farming the wardens. I rushed out, pulled the first 3 groups, then died... After doing this a few times, I got the blue tip note thing, after which I switched to another character. It actually surprised me cause I went out killing more monsters with my monk and didn't get the blue note thing till much later. So based on my experience, the anti-farm thing does exist, and also triggers even with no kills. Nothing is proven about how to get rid of it, or how much farming exactly triggers it, but its accepted that time will make it go away.

Yes the anti-farm code exists, however Anet calls it Anti-bot code. They are the one and same, even though they are supposed to be 2 completely different things and one isnt supposed to exist. As some of you have noticed that even if you clear the whole area over and over the drops go down.
Now some say that you can clear it by doing 1 easy then a medium then a hard mission in a row. Though i would suggest doing that and 1 other easy mission after the 3 in a row. That seems to work some for me. Maybe different for others.
