Weekend event returns to Cantha!

Woot!!!!! Heroe weapons FTW!!!!

I fail to see the problem with Cantha having a special weekend. It's just quite sad that a lot of people will feel the need to stealthily come back to Cantha to farm greens in order to try to keep up the illusion that they'll never be going back there. As for me, I love Cantha. It's home. I am happy Cantha is not left out of the Weekend events.

I agree, plus cantha has some great green weapons like:
Wing's axe
Koalin Blade
Koalin staves
elite mission greens
Rajazans'
Koosuns fire staff
Chkkrs' flatbow
The Scar eater
The stone reaper
and more........

So I don't see why people would farm these, just for Hero weapons.

its 3 times more likely, not 3 times the ammount.. so elite missions still have the same amount of drops making them not drop in value at all, so why farm those for heros?


but still, can't wait to farm me a vera.. been eying that toy for a while now

I happen to be very glad that they're doing this.... as I just started going after the two Kaolin staves I'm missing... as well as being fully willing to try again at Lou of the Knives.... This is exactly what was needed and the kind of weekend bonus I've been needing for a very long time.

As cheap as Canthan greens are, you would probably be better
off with just regular farming and then just buy the greens
after the weekend, cause even with the triple drop rate you
still need a little luck.....

picking petrified mushrooms, open a few chests and cap a

Urgoz is a guaranteed drop of 3 green items so that won't change at all. But it would be nice to organize an Urgoz day with other forum members sometime.

I will be looking for a few items for my collections - perhaps spend some time with the bone dancer and get a woe spreader. There are a few monk staffs I might like to add to my collection.

I was actually in Cantha last night and was pleased to see a good number of people in every Town I visited especially in the jade sea and echovald forest

I'm going to use this weekend to farm none other than....

It will hurt to have to kill the most godly [wiki]Mungri Magicbox[/wiki]...... but how can I properly emulate his awesomeness if I do not have his weapon of awesomeness?

[O'course... given further analysis, I'm probably just pratting around. His green drop and the weapon he holds look nothing alike... Just more delightful Mungri-promotion.]

yay for greens...I like a lot of canthan greens and will enjoy the event. Now I just need another double xp skill cap weekend for my skill hunting monk.

I have found that Lou is quite easy to farm with the w/n sskai farming build.

I've actually enjoyed going through Cantha this time, I have a few toons who've done it and it's pretty ok as a chapter - less fed ex quests would have been nice but that's been said before.

Any weekend which triples anything is welcome - remember Anet don't have to do jack s**t for us regarding this.

funny... I decided I could use one for Koss, so I took my rit over to test a build last night, dropped first try who needs tripple drop weekends? Seriously tho, there are a TON of good greens in factions, just because they may not be the hottest selling anymore doesnt make em any less perfect for heroes.

It is how they manipulate player base to buy other chapters.
