First full group didnt work out so we decided to use heroes, because we coulndt find more people to Citadel, this is the result:

my build was
Bip, Vamp Gaze, Lifebane Strike, Sig of lost souls, sig of sorrow, rebirth, resurrect and a couple more but they were unimportant and unused
you get mallyx to the gate, and spike away... but have fun getting to the chest.. i almost didnt get my mallyx green because i was unprepared

The mobs lure bk in groups of two or three and are easily dispatched.
Illyanas Faith's build was weird, heals and some smites, 2 res, you can see it in the pic - really was just a utility effort.
Heals need to be big, but not fast - Mallyx's attack rate is pretty slow, but powerful. Shelter makes healing childs play, so I took two smites to help spike Mallyx. (The previous run we nearly had him dead then he ran off and we had to resign).

i seriously think Anet should fix this Exploit,
Anyways you only need yourslef and 3 Heros to kill Mallyx
1# N/mo (blood spiker) with Flesh golem,necrotic traversal, rebirth and ressurect
2# Mo/n (Spell breaker, Prot spirit, Spirit bond for opening chest) blood ritual, rebirth and rez
3# air spiker
4# yourself with rebirth and ressurect
Olias and Zhed should be enough to kill mallyx you only need yourself to stay alive for calling targets so that your heroes will attack, or you can always manually controll thier skills.
K, lets go to the Epxploit.
When you come in just go by the door where mallyx is, Dont come close to the priest (it will trigger the mob and gg)
(rebirth gate trick, ) Have your hero monk suicide by using Br then Rebirth him while pressing yourself against the door (dont forget to flag your hero monk ouside where Mallyx is) Dont forget to disable rez on your heroes and have Olias make a Golem as soon as the monk Die
after that is a cutscene, you and your party is now in Mallyx's room.
have Olias use necrotic once the golem dies on the otherside of the gate, then Have yourself and Zhed suicide so that Olias can rebirth you on the otherside of the gate, Leave the monk in Mallyx's room. Flag your heroes about 4 steps away from the gate its very important that they dont move once Mallyx is aggro. Have your monk aggro Mallyx and if everything goes well he will get stuck on the door while you and your heroes kill him slowly, (dont rez your hero monk till Mallyx is dead and make sure your heroes arent moving while killing Mallyx)
after all that rez your Monk and have her Cast Sb, Ps, and Spirit bond on you before opening the chest.

Yes, cause Ebony Citadel should be the Hardest area in DoA, insted its the easiest.
I remember the first time we killed Mallyx with protecting the Priest, it was so challenging that after beating him it felt so good.
Im sure im not the only 1 in this game that likes being challenge.
