Im a 6-month PvE player and now im looking to delve into PvP. I tried doing Random Arenas to unlock TA and i got to 4-consecutive wins and lost. What is their i should know about PvP and how a PvE player can become competitive in PvP?

or... get a friendly pvp guild and ask for advice, go to the Gladiator's Arena section and read the guides, etc
don't give up after just one game, experience is important too. Try to see what works and what doesn't.

So i should just become any iway warrior and try to work my way up to HA and gain rank?

Personally, I think IWAY is for people that cant hack it with a normal build, but what do I know. Also, keep doing random and then team arenas until Heros Ascent opens up and then find a big guild that regularly runs it and go from there.

How are Touch Rangers in RA?

in RA pretty much a build with 6 resurrection skills and reversal of fortune has a decent chance of winning. RA is really the place where you test builds, those that pass muster then move up as it were. touch rangers 'can' work well there, or you may just draw a lot of fire from the folks who think they are 'overpowered' or just don't like em...

IWAY is dead. It's been for some time now.
Play several professions. Decide which one(s) you like best, and specialize in them. Play a lot, play even more, and play a lot. If you either have some decent people on your friends list, or have enough fame/faction to be taken serious, give trying a PvP guild a go.

My advice to you is just switch through builds/characters/classes and find a class that suits you.

Once you've found a class/s your good at, try it out in HA.

good luck

If you think HA is pvp, and if you think rank is pvp, and if you think iway is the good way to pvp, go pvp the way you want it.

I say try a little of everything in PVE. I got to know every single class, their strengths and their weaknesses in PVE. After a year, I decided to PVP with a class I felt comfortable with. Feel free to try a variety of skills and see what works for you and your team.

i agree.

u should also read about pvp builds and how to run em, how to run a build is pretty important

RA:it isnt hard to get 5 wins in ra, if u try long enough u will eventualy end up with a desent group.
If u get a party with no monks dont leave, i have done 15 consecutive wins without a monk so monks aint everything
btw i usualy play monk or assassin in ra i think its the best

TA: When u get here just join some random groups and figth, and if no one is making a group dont be afraid to make one.

HA: prepare for a hard time...

Play RA, AB and Fort Aspenwood for a while imo. These are areas where you won't be under too much pressure. You'll learn how to play better.

I tried Fort Aspenwood etc and found that people's attitudes towards newer PvP players was bloody awful - at the first sniff of inexperience they ditch, leaving you with half a team and a thinking that it's really not worth trying. So I quit PvP and went back to PvE

Really? I did Fort Aspenwood for some of my first pvp and I thought it was really low pressure, and one of the more fun pvp areas. I can't stand RA....

I think I found one team out of 3 goes that didn't leave after calling us noobs. I wasn't impressed! It's not like there's anywhere to get in PvP practice either, apart from if you have a guild that'll do regular scrimmages...
