why anet nerf paragon in mallyx quest

its totally useless to go in there as soon 1 necro margonite in your range he casts vocal minority on you for 21 seconds (with a recharge of 20 seconds) and some few other hexes, he is even covering it!

so all u can do in 1 of the quests with a paragon = paragon spear mastery which is just crap damage vs them. rather going SoR paragon with song of power

or

paragon with elite hex removal so u can cast at least 1 chant or shout

in other words waste of elite just to cast chants or shouts, or in other words paragons are totally crap in the mallyx quest

anet got to throw vocal minority out in that quest just to be able to cast shouts or chants cuz necro margonites know whne u have them in your skill bar lol

gonne get my monk up there now since i cant play that quest with an paragon

Yes, we understand your need to whine about not being fit for a certain area, believe me when I say Assassins had the same problem in the Factions elite missions, and nobody even thinks of bringing one into DoA.

Either you adapt (Hex removal indeed. Plenty of those!), or just don't go if you don't feel like changing your build.
Or it could just be that you're too close to the fray, Paragons stay in the backline, remember? You shouldn't be getting stacked with hexes if you're back there?

But please... mods.. lock this.

Considering the time i spent in there, i could have made a lot more by doing anything else. As the groups don't get any better and player base grows thin, maybe i'll finally sell them and never ever set foot in there again.

well...

if people are doing all four areas in 8 hours, it's like 2 hours an area...

that could be many hundred platinun... more than i could do at other places...

well, its like my father says: "it's good that some people don't like some stuff, if everybody wanted to be a doctor, who would build our houses?"

that'll never happen with pugs, and thanks god, there ain't a lot of people who would sign for this in my guild.
You don't have to suffer for 8 hours straight to make money in this game.

Now, DoA is there, it's good for the few who likes it, and if anet doesn't change this, hopefully they'll never come with an area like this ever again.

But let's go back to the subject: their's far too many build not suited for this area, lives with it or just complain about it like i do.

im also meaning that vocal minority is a bit lame 21 seconds it lasts and 20 sec recharge. its a total shutdown for a paragon they should lower the time on it that skill should have been an elite as it looks now

but sure hex removal bla bla i know and yes same for assasins

but at least thnx for reading my whining man

Vocal Minority needs to be nerfed. Paragons have no native hex removers, only way is to change to P/Me but you lose your Warrior secondary making your shouty paragon very quiet - no more Watch Yourself etc. Sadly, WY/GFTE spammers are the only useful Paragon build, so it basically gimped.

Paragons are useless in DoA. Dont even think about Song of Power.

Vocal Minority is one of the few shout hate skills out there, I don't want it to be touched. You aren't skilled enough to figure out a counter to something so you think it should be changed. Good. I hope you guys get stuck because it makes me feel better when I use my own strategies to plough through.

It is not at all hard to find a counter to this, in fact I have several.

Quit whining and play the game. If you don't have the skill to get past this area, then you don't have the RIGHT to be past this area.

The issue with Vocal Minority is that it forces reliance on a different class on one of two possible secondaries, OR cooperation with team mates.

While the latter is a reasonable hurdle for DoA, I imagine it might be troubling for those foolish enough to still play with PUGs.

How is that any different that a nonwamo warrior that's blinded needing the monk to remove it for him? Or any other condition or hex for that matter?

There's a reason you can take 8 players into missions.

yea I think we have proven 8 is doable. It sure would be a bit easier if you could take 12, but allas that particular ability does not look like it will be added to nightfall at any time. Simpily because that is what makes Factions unique. Nightfall uniqueness was Heroes..

Every time I have gone I have been well rewarded for it. BUT we do not get very far any time we go unless, we have mega amounts of time to waste in doing it.

But anyways... Such is life. And then you die...

GG. Dont be so arrogant. Of course there are counters, I merely pointed out how expensive they are in terms of gimping any decent Paragon build, of which there are very few. This is quite unlike other professions for which common shutdowns have much cheaper counters available.

Do you see Paragons in DoA? No. Why? Because to bring them you have to tell a monk to waste a slot on hex removal. Nobody in their right mind will do this when other team builds dont have to waste skill slots on countering this overpowered skills. So DoA teams will continue to be trapper+bip, or obsidian tank based - neither of which has space for Paragons.

You obviously haven't played enough DoA to figure out the team dynamics - saying counters are available without listing them is just plain lazy. I think in fact you dont know what you're talking about. Just for a laugh, I hung out again in DoA last night to see how many Paragons there were in teams - in about 35 minutes, I didn't see a single one.

Read the Paragon forums on why it is generally agreeed Paragons have a minimally useful role in PvP and none at all in PvE - they dont do anything truly useful enough in high-end areas like DoA to justify their cost in terms of wasting char slots or skill slots on other characters, compared to the original core classes.

I do hope your Dervish gets nerfed like assasins in Factions and ends up being another useless tank. It certainly seems to be going that way.
