Problems with the event

Kamadan has a notorious problem of having inaccessible presents. That's the most brutal thing ever.

yea...was at kamadan 58 n waited for an hour...and i got nthing..=.=....ill get the next one..grrrr

All those poor lonely presents all locked up in isolation... *Sniff*

I saw some rather shrewd assassins shadowstepping up to those presents in Kamadan earlier.

The glitch thing is a pain in the ass, but the 3 hour thing has been really well this year I think.

Previous events like in factions made you just wait around and then speak to an NPC.

This year you have to vote for who you want. Making us wait 3 hours adds to that, because you end up with hundreds of people stood in the circles.

I can understand that if your busy all today, then you might miss out on it. But they might leave an NPC behind for a few days to let you purchase hats for those who miss it.

I planted myself last night in LA, woke up this morning foudn i hate error 059, and a stylish yule cap! seems that i was lucky staying online long enough

Just a reminder for our studio audience: This event is supposed to be fun, and more importantly, It's free. Arenanet and NCSoft have no obligation to give you anything really. In fact, you might as well get nothing and be grateful. Posts such as "Anet, you suck" might as well be taken as a sign not to do future events. I mean, you didn't want them, right?

It's not the end of the world if you miss out. I had to miss the Horns of Grenth last year by about 3 minutes to go to bed (Didn't afk it). In the end, nobody gives a flying RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO how many hats your characters have; they don't grant extra stats and tend to spend hours in your storage anyways.

Nuff' said methinks.

You don't have to be there before they show up...just before they give out the hats. I've been to 3 districts and gotten the horns, freezie crown and the jester hat. for the jester hat I showed up in the middle of teh game; the score showed up after the next round.

edit: I agree that it is all for fun and ANet doesn't have to do this. Thus, if I don't get a hat I don't worry about it and let it go. I was a little miffed about not getting a witch hat; my nightfall didn't com euntil the day after, but I got over it...it's just polygons and paint.

There are better things to do.

In Kamaden when the presents started falling I moved my agro circle away from the walls and it seemed to keep presents from falling on walls. But lets not be too greedy people it is a fun event and I have enjoyed it a lot.

How did they get up there then? You can't get onto that ledge anyway that I know of, and it was definitely assassins, so I just assumed they had.
There were grentchies up there as well at the time..

yeah i got all four hats in 2 runs... now to wait untill something new and interesting comes along *sigh* lol I think another online game...

I have to say though I'm very impressed with the Kamadan hats.. i was expecting more or less tyrian type hats

Hi, I will try to call this one in, but it's New Year's and I don't think we can do a build. My suggestion is this:

If you are in a district where the avatars don't show up, zone until you find a district where Grenth's and Dwayna's dialogue is present.

Speaking of presents, stand away from the walls in Kamadan and you will not have your gifts land in inaccessible places.

Next event Noon Lion's Arch, 12:15 Kamadan. Both times Pacific. 20:00 and 20:15 GMT.

Tis a great event Gaile, always a good laugh out of these and other than a few minor problems that I have heard of *experienced none myself * it seems to be going very well.

And for everyone who thinks this is the end of the world, keep in mind bugs will happen, hell I just had a spider walk in and it's 26 degrees

I was just in Kamadan 131 and I was there ON TIME!

Nothing happened a district full of the big "G" supporters and nothing happened.

Its now 12:45 and still nothing.

While zoning, I found the delineation-136 in kamadan is finished, and 138, also in kamadan, is still waiting. Everything even numbered and higher than 136 did not get their visit from the noon pacific scheduled visit. If that whole thing made any sense. lol

The presents up on the walls are hilerious.

The ; and *space* spammers are running into the walls like the Cyote in Road Runner flying into a cliff face.

PROTIP: If the avatars don't show up in your district, you should probably just switch districts.
