Blacksmith Title Track: The Blacksmith title is achieved by gaining points from successfully expert salvaging items without destroying the item, or by salvaging rare materials out of items. For each rank in Blacksmith, the chance of an item not being destroyed when salvaging a magical upgrade component is increased by 1 percent from a base of 50 percent.
  • Blacksmith (1): 500 items salvaged
  • Expert Blacksmith (2): 2,000 items salvaged
  • Superior Blacksmith (3): 5,000 items salvaged
  • Artisan Blacksmith (4): 10,000 items salvaged
  • Dwarven Blacksmith (5): 25,000 items salvaged
  • Ascended Blacksmith (6): 75,000 items salvaged
  • Noble Blacksmith (7): 150,000 items salvaged
  • Eternal Blacksmith (8): 300,000 items salvaged

Since blacksmith isn't as hard as Treasure Hunter or Wisdom, it can be done on normal items, the rank goes up much higher and gives less of a bonus because it's easier to achieve. I gave it 8 tiers because currently, it is only possible have a 92% chance to successfully salvage an upgrade without destroying the item, so this would give those players 100% if they were to complete them all.

The price would be 4.8 mil if you use an expert salvage for the entire title, 6 mil if you use a superior salvage, although I'd expect it to be around 5.5 mil unless they're persistant enough to keep buying expert salvages every 25 uses. I made it to be aroun 6 mil because currently treasure hunter and wisdom title tracks are roughly about the same prices.

I'm not so sure Blacksmith is a good name for the title since you're not really making anything, but instead taking things apart, but I guess overall you're taking stuff apart to upgrade something else or use the rare materials, so it's not all bad. I was also considering making it just go to 7 tiers instead, to make it fit in better with the current titles and then make the ranks each a multiple of it's counterpart's. For instance level 1 in wisdom is 100, level 1 in blacksmith could be 500, but that'd have to be worked out so that it ends up costing approximately the same amount. I'm sure I left something out, and if anyone has any questions or comments, I'm going to do my best to clarify or answer anything.

You don't have to do it if you don't want to, I don't do the wisdom or treasure hunter title tracks myself, but I think it'd be nice to add just for the sake of having it for those hardcore PVE-ers with cash for a money sink and benefit.

If they add more titles for PvE players there are far better ones to add than this. It has nothing to achieve from it, and everyone will start to salvage everything they normally just sell to the merchant as garbage.

It requires no money, no time, no effort.

Okay well, not sure why when I edited my above post the new text didn't get posted... I guess my headahce is getting to me. Either way I'm making a new one.

The price of all common materials, that i can think of, is low enough as it is. The materials salvaged for this title would flood the market more than anyone can expect and as a result it would lower their values even more (amongst users trading since trader price is as low as it can go for most). A great deal of these materials would likely be used to make rare materials and it likely wouldn't be long until these items were as low in value.

1)Actually Blacksmith forges items ,while Scavenger salvages them.
2)I think its not fare compairing to the fact that many items give rubys /sapphires with salvage at quite big rates.. this would cause a price limit down.

By the way, i am currently "Elite treasure hunter" rank 5 and "Devotee of wisdom" rank 3 (almost 4) and i find the odds to salvage very tempting already!

Plus a free tip : Tyrian and Canthanian gold armors should be salvaged with expert or better salvage kit before identified, because if you are lucky you can save the armor(rune always comes out) so from 1unidentified gold -->2 unidentified golds!!

There will be some sort of fix to this being implimented... or at least there should be.

People are using the above method to scam players by selling them gold armors without runes in them... and the player purchasing the armor has absolutely no way to know if the armor has a rune in it when purchase or not until they identify it.
