Build for soloing Acolyte of Dwayna?

Does anyone know a build to solo him?

Btw I'm warrior and I tried Gb/riposte but he heals too much even when not in avatar form. Thanks.

What are you doing farming his scythe? I think I was the first player on American to see it drop (for me with 4 hench :P).

This guy is virtually impossible to solo, IMO. Not only the self-healing is insane, the amount of damage he does with the scythe is also quite threatening (damn cheating double-damage bosses in Factions and Nightfall..). A 55 build should theoretically work, but you need a LOT of damage output.

Keep in mind that hexes are removed very quickly when he's in Avatar form (so a 55 + Spoil Victor doesn't seem to work). It helps A LOT if a good ranger can Distract the "Avatar of Dwayna" form continuously -- then you can also use hexes like Spoil Victor etc. when he's not in the Avatar form. Otherwise I think the guy stays only 30s in non-Avatar form.. Good luck trying to wear him down and outdamage his healing in 30s..

Since it seems so tricky to solo the guy, me and my friend(s) went directly onto duo (and trio) farming: the two key players being a ranger with Broadhead Arrow and Apply Poison and a warrior/55tank to soak the damage. Conditions work well on this guy, as he has no condition-removal even though the boss regen and the self-healing spells are compensating very well for that.. Keeping him dazed helps a lot with interrupting many of his self-healing skills.

Alas, after killing him more than a dozen times with the duo team as suggested above, damn scythe didn't drop for us, not even once! (yes, the heroes/henchies were far away, greyed out). The irony is that we had 3-4 greens dropping for us from the two other bosses there in that little fortress, while we were clearing it with heroes/henchies..

Can't you just tank him until his avatar expires, then rape the living go-nanny out of him?

Like a 55er with IW. When his form ends, use some sort of AV or SV thing to kick his ass?

Although not technically solo solo, I was thinking a rit loaded up on offensive spirits, specifically shadowsong and disenchantment, could probably kill the boss. I think all of the healing skills the acolyte uses require an enchantment for any healing to occur (mystic healing, dwayna's touch), so disenchantment will keep her from healing, and shadowsong will prevent almost all damage. then just bring pain, bloodsong, and whatever else.

You might need Ritual Lord and energizing winds to keep spirits up as long as they are needed.

Note: I don't actually have a rit so I can't try this, but it sounds good in my head.

I just tried SVing him after Auspicious Parry Riposting him. His healing is insane. -.- I watched my recharge, and it seems he has about 35 seconds out of form because of the halved recharge. I thought of doing the A/E Sliver Former, but my sin isn't past Docks yet, and I'm much too lazy. Anyone tested the Rit Lord thing?

You need to use a zealous sword or shak-jarin's sword (which I'm using) for this.
Always use riposte, flail, deadly riposte, desperation and dolyak signet when their cool downs are up.
Use Victory is mine! when you need to heal.
After a while or you should be able to get him to at least 25-35% health, use shock and hope when he gets he attacks you to trigger your riposte then use desperation blow and final thrust to finish him off. If this doesn't kill him , he should be at 1-10% health than just keep using your skills and hope it kills him.It took me at most 10 minutes to kill him with this build.


There is probaly an easier way that kills him much quicker but this the only build i thought of that worked.

It's a diamond aegis i got from a treasure chest.

Update: I tried out using rit spirits with my ele. It works but it is very hard to pull off. Luckily, he dropped the scythe on my first try

The other acolytes are much easier since they don't heal as much.
Just use Gb/riposte for them.

I've solo'd him over 30x with GB/Rip which I modded by dropping bonettis and adding shield stance.... But I've had no problem solo'n him with that build I'm unsucessful 1/8th of the time.... Try this out and tell me what u think.....

Mhelnos, dont hate me for it, but I am having a very hard time believing your are soloing AoD with just changing bonetti's with shield stance. Her healing is so immense, there is no way you can take her out. Even the W/E build takes 10 minutes.

I personally have found an effective build, which should be pretty obvious if you consider the problems with this boss, and the possibilities at your disposal. I am not posting it yet though. I want to get a few drops before I post the build, already made that mistake once :P

Has a touch ranger been tried on this one yet? He would have access to enchant removal/interrupts/stances/blinds and decent dmg (130/3 sec)

Why not Duo him using Dual Elite-Disabling? just tnak until first Form runs out, then duo-Humility?
