*EDIT: I edited it a bit, did the last one in a rush. Hope the ones that signed still think the ideas are great, if not, I'd like to hear *

Alot of people know that recently a new title was added called "Legendary Defender of Ascalon". I personally loved the idea, since I love Guild Wars, but it doesn't have enough grind for me, unlike this title. In pre-searing it takes alot of time to get to level 16 (let's not talk about level 20), and probably alot of people won't understand, but that's exactly what I like about it. But only adding a title seems a little boring to me, so while they're at it, why don't they add some more content?

Some ideas I have for pre-searing:
  • A new outpost. Alot of high(er) level pre-searing character kill Charr in the Northlands, I'd love to see an outpost in there, preferably only accesable for higher level characters (a quest for level 12+ that leads you here perhaps?). This outpost could contain a merchant with new items (overpriced superior salvage kit?), a dye trader, a crafter with slighty better items then the one in Ascalon, and so on. Also, it could be a 3- or 4-man outpost, that'd make killing Charr even more fun, and maybe a couple of (Master) quests. Piken Square would probably be fine, even though somehing new could be added.
  • Several greens. Each class in pre-searing already has a corresponding boss, and I'd love to see those bosses dropping greens. They obviously wouldn't be max damage, but at least a slightly better then the ones obtained at the crafter in Ascalon. The drop rate should be incredibly low, to prevent hundreds of people coming to pre-searing just for these greens.
  • A PvP arena. Quite a big thing, and would probably cost time to set up, but this would be extremly fun for the higher level players. Maybe an arena for the levels 1-10 and an arena for the levels 11-20. It'd be important that the characters don't get experience inside the arena, to prevent people from playing in he PvP arena just for experience.
  • A second higher level zone. The Northlands is only capable of leveling you untill level 16, but I'd love to see a zone that's capable of leveling you all the way to level 20. Of course, getting to level 20 in pre-searing should stay as hard as it is, so I'd like to see a zone that takes time to go through, and where you end up fighting agaisnt one or two level 15 boss(es). This would make it worth playing in order to get to level 20, instead of the "death leveling" method, which ANet definitly shouldn't support.
  • A pre-searing storage. I'd love to see a storage in pre-searing. It's not fun having to transfer your items from one character to another every time. This storage would be for your characters in pre-searing only, and not for the ones in post-searing.

Why would ANet put so much time in this? The in-game store is quite a nice function, and they could add a "Pre-Searing only account" to it, for say, €20,-? I'm very sure alot of people would buy it (including me), especially when they'd add all these functions. I know alot of people who have a seperate account just for pre-searing, but I also know alot of people who'd like one, but don't feel like spending the full price just for this. Of course, I'm not an economic, and I don't know exactly how much people play (and will start playing) pre-searing, and I don't know if this would be a good step for ANet, but I'd like to see at least consider it, because I'm pretty sure they'd make alot of people happy with this.

Thanks for reading,
Max.

Maxie, I love your idea and I'd love to see this happen. But Anet has petty much said they're not going to add anything new to Chapter 1, much less Pre. I hate being a party pooper, but I just don't see it happening.

That being said....

(About Piken) It would be extremly useful, not to mention cool. Plus it would make it for people who could make it there able to spawn right into the norhtlands for Charr hunting.

(About the Greens + new bosses) It would make people who go for the Legendary Defender of Ascalon title have an easier time (every fourth boss run would be cut out), plus they'd have the better weapons that they deserve for doign all that work.

I think ArenaNet should look into this and make it happen, it would give people a reason to play prophecies again... other than its their best one still IMO...

I can see it now "Green Party Forming need Experienced Monk" but it might make Pre more interesting.

c) ArenaNet won't do it

ArenaNet sees 1 out of 100 of the suggestions in here, and 1 out of 100 of the suggestions they see actually get added. I know it won't happen, but I guess that's not what you suggest for anymore

It'd be great still, and I'd be extremly sattisfied if we'd ever see this happen. There's nothing wrong with hoping I guess

Ditto on everything said. Pre is so awesome, but I think it's locked out of the dev loop.

A totally useless idea that doesn't realize how a buisness works.

The Ghastly Pyre (Staff)

Inspiration +1 (10% Chance)

The Unholy Eye (Focus)
Energy +10
Health +20
Blood Magic +1 (10% Chance)

Bloodbane Scepter (Wand)

I would like to make to see still only 2 person at the most parties and like you said make the requirement to get in the town level 12 then beyond that you have higher level charr and maybe you can unlock several more skills. Possibly allow you to get to grendich courthouse with a minimum level req of 18 that has tougher charr beyond there. I dont think they should have made a title that you have to constantly sit there and death level for, there should be a way thats in everyones reach!

Ok, I think I've now seen this same thread topic enough times for this to be considered a completely dumb request (unless it is a "what if")

It has been stated, and will remain, that they will NEVER add ANY major additions to previous chapters.

Besides, pre-searing is fine as it is. If they wanted you to be always running around killing Charr, they wouldn't make it so you need two people to open the gate to the Northlands.

Don't fix what isn't broken. Start making changes and pre-searing will lose its charm.

True that. Pre-Sear will never be changed by ANet. They don't have the time, energy, or initiative, sadly.

I'd love this but doubt ANet would do it.

They did add the Rotscale update to Prophecies though, after Factions came out...

It's not like it'd take a long time though... I'm fairly sure they've got everything they need to make the Piken Square that is already in pre-searing into an outpost. I really don't see a reason that'd stop you from doing this. I don't have a perfect vision for this kind of stuff, but it'd be 1 MB extra on the next update, 30 minutes work... Nothing to lose, right?
