Just wondering if anyone has strategies to complete this Red "master" level mission...we last into the final wave of Skales but cant quite finish it out, falling with 4 or 5 mobs left. We are using heroes(Dervish, Monk, Monk/Mesmer, Ranger, Elementalist, and Warrior) and us players (Dervish and Ranger/Elementalist). We have tried assigning melee to guard and block the gate with casters in the back, but the poison and sheer numbers overwelm us right at the end with victory in sight, leaving us frustrated. Any recommendations from those who have tasted victory here? My thanks.

If you have the skill barrage. I would equip it for both you and the hero ranger. Also make sure if you have it that both monks have a skill that will remove any conditions such as poison.

What level are you and your party? If you're below level 18, it's not a good idea. There's a reason why there's a special difficulty note on the quest.

As for a minion master, it's basically a necromancer who specialises in animating and maintaining minions to use both as damage dealers and meat shields.

I'd advise many things, but at this point in the game you wouldn't have access to them yet.
Namely Cautery Signet to throw on a hero to remove conditions. Or even a Searing Flames nuker..

I tried it when I was trying to get Survivor on my Warrior.

20 Skale and it was STILL the first wave! That blew my mind!
