Why don't you people want new professions?
I'm willing to bet that most of you will be getting rather bored of the current 10 professions a year from now (when they release the next chapter), so you'll probably want new professions.
What will Ch 4 Professions be?

I do like the notion of having the Warriors "dual-wield" swords or axes, and Paragon shouts and chants that can act like bard spells in some grinder MMO's and affect enemies instead of allies.
We have Dwarves in the Shiverpeaks, Tengu in Cantha, and Centaurs in Elona. Why not Elves in the Chapter 4 realm?

As much as I love new classes, I'd have to agree with a lot of people here in that we need so much more in the next chapter instead of new classes. A new species to play with would be fun, and wouldn't require any mass amounts of balancing.
As far as an actual prediction goes, I have no idea. Just when I think I realize Anet's vision for the game, I'm (sometimes pleasantly, sometimes not) surprised by what they end up doing. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Unless they add/change enough about the game in the next release to make it a whole new experience, I probably won't be buying. Not a threat, just being honest.
If they were to add new classes (but I hope they won't), I'd bet on some kind of shape-changing/druid-like profession (like my Feral concept class), and a battlemage-like profession (like my Chaos Mage concept class).

I also don't want any more professions unless something is done about party size.
We already have 10 professions, and sure you have numerous possibilities with mixing secondary professions as well as party makeup. But when forming a party (especially if we're limited to just 8 in most areas of the game) there's a pervasive idea of essential classes and support classes. Each chapter seems to add more support classes, and the party size limit just isn't large enough to accomodate more.

While I would prefer more content for existing proffs to explore, and I recall there was a post about not every chapter introducing new proffesions, if there were two new proffesions this is what I think they could be.
1) a whip wielding offencive magic user
2) a quarter staff ally buffer
funny those sound earily familiar..............

I'd like no new professions in the next chapter, and instead have it contain content for all the existing ones. Not terribly bothered about new races unless it's something REALLY cool.
Avicara are not cool.
(Although I am seriously loving the idea of wielding a whip, as suggested by the person above me.)

Spirit summoner and beserker.
If it was my choice, i'd go for a class that could shift into any non-elite creature that you have killed on that character.
Each monster in the world would be like an unlock.
Need a healer in the group real quick? No probs - shift into a healer mob.
Hmm, comes close to a WoW druid, but yeah... more choices and more fun.

They could always start mixing and matching classes to suit campaigns with the current 10. So a campaign with Paragons, Assassins, Dervishs, Elementalists, Mesmers, Rangers, Monks. It won't give any new professions to play as to existing players though, but there will be the ever present new skills for them to play with.

As for me, I'm not against seeing new professions come out but if they do I would like to see a new caster...I much prefer casters and I feel a little...unloved...due to the fact there were no casters in Nightfall.
