Wow. What's the catch? The NF I got cost me £50. It was the Collector's Edition. The game itself sold for £40. At $25, that's barely £15 I think.

Ok now I have 2 emotions.

1. Hooray! I was almost right in my maths!
2. I'm going to kill some one for buying the game at full price when I could have waited and got it for THAT CHEAP! Luckily for me, I'm going to Dragonforce tomorrow with my band. I might push a guitarist into a mosh pit. That will cheer me up.

It's Christmas sales time. This is the first time that ANet has released a chapter this close to Christmas. If it is the first chapter you are buying, they hope that it will induce you to buy the other two also.

Last December was when I bought my son his copy of Prophecies (although for his birthday).

Hey, if u plan on going in-store, make sure you print out the page first. a friend went to get it to add on to his Prophecies account and none of them knew about it. they then said it must be an online-only sale (which it did not say it was) they evidently don't have internet at their stores (or just didn't want to look it up, so he had to bring in a printout (or a laptop with wi-fi available nearby lol)...

seems that the major retailers are getting desperate to move the product off the shelves* ... and its only been 6 weeks ...

*this is done in order to free-up inventory space for upcoming stocks of things they deem will sell better

Seems strange that I have to pay more for Factions than the other chapters, I am definately confused. Maybe it`s because Nightfall has only just been reviewed in the two most popular gaming magazines (both giving it a 85+%)? Maybe stocks of Nightfall are high in online stores and the need to ship is high due to christmas.
