Favorite Memories

Alright i decided I would start this thread just to see how it goes.....

2 of my favorite memories:

1) In Alliance Battle Killing a luxon 55monk that claimed he was invincible, Vamp Touch ftw

2)Having the "newer" rotscale eliminating the whole party in one shot when we all were at full health, and no Dp

A positive thread. For once. Why flame that?

I'd have to say... topping the Doppelganger. First try. Bonus as well. *Smug mode.

I remember the Doppelganger also. First character (warrior/ranger), the time spent debating what skills to take and then the fight, worrying if you are doing it right. Win with bonus! My mouth fell open.

The first exploration of the Crystal Desert with the views and the huge skeletons.

My first run to Droks with my mesmer. The runner was an artist.

1: Doing alot of missions with my old guild on 1 day. (We even re-recruited someone who left like a month ago )

2: First year's Halloween It was so cool!

3: Wintersday Also very cool, with the special quests and people asking for help etc.

4: Farming griffons for the first time with my 55HP monk. I was like 'omg it works :O'

5: Having a gold Crystalline Sword drop out of the Lost Strongbox outside Thunderhead Keep.

These definetly top my list:

1. Me and a friend running around exploring kryta finding Fishermans Haven, Beetletun, and Temple of Ages. It was so cool, when i got to ToA for the first time i payed 1k for fow and was shocked and thought "level 28 monsters this is so impossible!!"

2. First discovering the idea of farming ettins with my warrior then getting told about Tengu farming otuside of Riverside Province. I had a ton of fun tengu farming!!!

First time playing GW, ran around pre-searing wondering what the hell I'm doing ^^ and staying in Ascalon doing small quests with other noobs. Everything was new.

Well, I've only been playing since about a week after Factions was released, started playing Factions and got Prophecies not too long after. My first character (my necro) was almost done with Factions when I decided to explore Prophecies with him and I got him a Drok's run just for the hell of it. Well, after playing MM through-out Factions and learning MM wouldn't fair too well in the last Factions mission, some of my guildies suggested going and capping SS, looking up a good build for it on wiki and using that.
So I go cap SS, form a whole new build I wasn't at all familiar with, kicking Shiro's @$$ in a PUG, getting my amulet of the mists and my first ever 15k armor, my Necro's 15k Canthan, still my favorite Necro armor today.

Another favorite would be when I was still a noob to PvP, doing HA for the first time with my guild playing a Rigor Mortis/Temple Strike Assassin and us making it to Halls. (We lost in halls but that was still one of my best PvP experiences ever.)

Logging into the game for the first time, zoning out, and screening the landscape. Gorgeous.

Getting lost in ascalon city... the actual city, not a zone.

First GvG win (I was in a competitive guild, and had never played before X-x)

Compiling over 3400hours of memories into 1 posts is impossible for me.

Winning a battle that lasted over 40 mins in HA(8vs8) against a r10++ group(half of them were from sama), my heart was pounding in the chest like i've never experienced before. I was r5 back then and for me and my friends it was a MAJOR accomplishment, probably the best battle ive ever been into.

Wintersday. My first event, it was just so cool. Had lots of fun there, I think I only spent time in town enjoying it.

Joining tbb. Still the best guild ever..

1. Farming outside Ascalon for my 50g armour =D
2.Completeing tombs for the firs time
3.Gettin my FoW helm
4.Drinking my first ale =D

fond memories?

Everything about Pre Searing the first time I stepped out there with my first character. I was such a newbie.

Beating the game for the first time a month before factions was released with my mesmer. That was a great sense of accomplishment for me as I play GW casually.

Capping all the god form elite skills for my Dervish in Nightfall. For some weird yet completely ok reason my hero Jin would rush forward and attack the enemy with the skill. Because of the awsome ranged bow I had given her, she would remain out of aggro but pull just that group back to me and the rest of the hench army. She did this not once... but 4 times in a row. I only had difficulty getting Balthazar.

I hate factions because of those stupid city missions and locked portals. But I do remember how happy I was to have FINALLY gotten out of those city slums... only to run into yet another locked portal... ^$*@&$&(!

Getting my first black dye drop.

Building up my first-ever Mesmer. It was the only 15k armor I ever bought and I dyed it all black. This was back during the first couple of months and I had no clue how the game worked. I thought I beat the whole thing when I was in Drok.'s. Thinking back to it, that Mesmer really sucked, but, it was so much more fun back then. These days everyone wants to make a cookie-cutter PUG build, and because of that no one experiments.


Ok, so I don't know what I'm saying... I miss the old days when people quested and PUG's mattered... and not everyone was farming.... and a 13- 20 +13 ^50 health +28 sword was actually worth something... and not everyone's an a**hole who has to have gold, even if the stats are perfect... and fun, I miss fun

Everything I did for the first time in prophecies, nothing I ever did in factions.

Hmm, so many memories..
Creating my character and logging in for the first time.
Meeting my FIRST EVER Guild Wars friend while doing Borlis Pass or one of the earlier Shiverpeaks missions. I'm sad to say that we're not friends anymore due to her getting pissed off about me leaving the guild.
Trying out the Factions and Nightfall Preview
Winning in an Alliance Battle for the first time, that's where I met another great friend. I hope she stills plays ;_;
Getting my first 15k armor
This isn't exactly my favorite but here it is-Seeing the words "2 years later" on my screen then seeing Ascalon in ruins.. Shocked me a bit

Heh, I used to think 30gp was a really great drop. -_-

Beating the game with my first character, and finally getting 15k kurzick for my assasin after doing hours of AB to save money

Remeber the game used to be funny

killing the worms in that one field in pre-searing for the first time

farming griffons with a w/mo first time

getting first sup vigor from ettins

buying sup absorb for 50k then next day it went to 2k

getting bortaks bone claw on a SF run

prophesies fun ai

factions fun ai but horrible story

nightfall shooting out a good games knee-caps and crippling it completely...

1. Get burn by Gewn
2. Capture my first bear
3. Create my first guild
4. Fist time wasted Glint
5. Made a fake warrior, and had someone in the other team whisper me"you are the healer??"
6. Pass on my leader position, join my friends guild, and became a normal member again
7. Score 8X in dragon throat with hench team
8. See my friend get her FOW armor with the ecto I gave her.
9. First time finish all UW and FOW missions.
10. Use my shadow spike assassin in pvp for 3 month and still have people whisper "dude, mind pass out the skills??"
there are more, and most likely will be more

Not to mention all those time when I make a new friend.
All those build I made and find out they do work after times and times of test run(pve, pvp, farming, and so on)

Well, I have many memories. One of my fonder ones is the first time I made a REAL BUILD, not just the crap I threw together because I wanted to keep my pet. I don't know what the hell I was thinking, but i beat the game with THIS SKILLBAR...
