Can Jennur's Horde be hench/heroed?
1 pages • Page 1
Yes it can be.
If you remember there is a mobile patrol after every static one, fall back to the nearest spirit when a mobile ones comes by you'll be ok.
Watch your pulls, bring lightbringer gaze and hit the clerics first. Another tip is to collect the lights from further back so you have a pile ready.
In short take it easy

Yep, easy peasy. After hours of trying I worked it out.
Effectively you act as puller and your heroes / henchies are the killers (you need to flag them in a position where they catch all mobile patrols and close enough to the final boss so you can quickly get to them).
You also act as final boss killer (solo). You'll need to make 3 trips to kill him.
PM me ingame and I will show you. Same name.

Yeah, easily the most important thing to do in this mission is to be aware of the timing and direction of the moving spawns. As far as which Heroes to take, you have no choice about Koss, but the other 2 spots are open. I'd say take a necro hero as an MM, because the extra firepower will help a lot. The last slot is probably best handed to a monk hero, mainly because hero monks can manage their energy much better, provided they're set up right.
Still, I'm never one to follow my own advice - When I did it, I took Koss, Dunkorro and Tahlkora as my 3 heroes, but thats because I don't actually have a primary necro on my 1st account, hence I have not the skills needed to run a MM hero.

One trick if you wanna hench it (and get masters): when you split the team, leave your heroes behind, and take the henchies with you for the bonus. Flag them on the top of the stairs, and set them on attack (not defend): otherwise the magonite patrols may just ignore them and rush to the horticulturist if they're not attacked (it happened to me before). And if you see they're low in health, run back to help them.

Took 2 MM heroes (probably overkill, but made it easy). Cleared the room and stationed everyone near the boss (but not close enough that the minions would aggro him... did that once and I came back and everyone was dead). Let them take care of the new patrols that always spawn at the same place, at the end boss. While they did that I went and pulled the enemies down the stairs and into my hench group in the center. While they were busy killing them I went up and killed the guys for bonus. Although far away, the enemies on the stairs for bonus pull very, very far away from their starting point. Makes it easy so you don't need to split your group.
After bonus was complete. I ran and gathered 3 Orbs and sat them down all at the same spot. Sent my henchoes away. Aggroed the boss. Click-Drop-Click-Drop-Click-Drop. Not even sure that he hit me.

Agreed. It's one of the trickier masters to figure out with henchies, but it's certainly doable once you've been in there far enough to realize how it all works.
Like others have said, be patient and clear, then station team to catch the new spawns while you run lights. Be very careful to leave your flags where they'll catch the new spawn's aggro before it goes down the stairs, or you can easily not notice a group heading down to the gardener npc. If they get to him while you're up in the wider area to the east, game over.
I did it without having to split the henchies/heroes at all, and only one mm. Also, I find that against general stuff like the Margonites in there, the AI does a fine job of prioritizing targets without my input.
Having a speed buff skill on helps a lot, but that may really be more of a convenience than a requirement. I'd think it's more important to be sure to bring a reliable self-heal or blinder in case a nightbringer gets a swipe in before you toast him with the light drop (or drops in the case of the last one.) The hench team seemed to make short work of one pack of Margonites at a time w/out any help from my skills. So I didn't sweat adjusting my build to carry a running skill. (Gaze probably isn't even necessary, since they can kill stuff w/out you ... but that skill is just too fun not to bring

)The mission can be henched. I managed it, after all.
I had Master of Whispers as a minion master guarding the passage backward while I went and defeated the bonus enemies on the side. His minions held out long enough.
Also, a suggestion for the final battle: let the harbinger come to you! bring all the light bundles to the location of the spirit closes to the enemy. Clear out the way, then enrage the monster. It followed me right to the stairs. All I had to do was pick up the bundles and drop them to get him.

It's very easy. Clear it like normal and just keep killing the stationary groups one by one after each moving patrol goes down. Then flag your heroes at the moving patrol spawn while fighting the last Harbringer as you run back. The bonus is easy as well, just flag your henchies in the middle so they catch the incoming patrol while you rush in and drop the Light on the Harbringer.

easier than with real players . do normal stuff as...kill group, kill spawn, kill group,etc..Ah,and i think it helps to bring OLIAs or Master of Whispers as MM.lots of bodies there.
When there are only like 3 groups near final harbinger...start bringing the lights near him..and then just grab one light, drop light, grab the other, drop and grab the last one and BAM..mission done

Well this was going almost well... The problem is the groups for the bonus point-blank refused to follow me to the middle where the hench/heros were stood. So what am I to do? I left Olias as MM stood in the middle while I took the rest up the stairs to try to kill them but the thing is when I get them to the top of the stairs it's time to go back down again since there is another patrol on the way...it takes SO MANY trips to kill all those margonites because Olias can't survive on his own and is only really there to give us a few seconds to get to him.
The reason I say it was going almost well is because I killed all but about 2 of the margonites in the second bonus group...then the patrols seemed to become more frequent and more relentless. They just took longer and longer to kill each time. After an hour they finally beat us down and we all died.
More frustrating still is that I am 3 Elonian Masters OFF Kind of a Big Deal. Doesn't look like I'll be getting it any time soon as I tried this mission with humans who failed....Abismally, I may as well have just gone in on my own.
