im wondering whether i should inscribe my scythe with +5 energy or 15% while enchanted? or get 2 scythes and switch between them.

I say use the 15% enchanted. You can make up energy with attunement runes but the damage is harder to make up. Enchant strippers are common in this game but you should have more than one enchant up and even if you get a mass strip you should still be able to put one or two back up in short order. For a dervish, in effect, 15% while enchanted is as good as having 15% unconditional.

Not for the Dervish running enchants... enchants the dervish can controll health is more of a variable several of the primarily used enchants have quick recharges and are more dependable than keeping above 50% health
My dervish has a huge flux in health at times due to spike dmg... welp there goes the dmg... but there is only ever a second between when i have no enchants on and i have another up...

either case when ur busting enchants ur not attacking... and when u bust enchants ur usally throwing up another...
it does depend on your build in some cases... not typically with the dervish builds... because even the scyth builds have at least 1 enchant runnning constantly... if not many more
i run an enchant bust build as soon as i bust though im right back on another enchant to start my sequence over agian... I also dont run with a scyth i use a totem (yes I know isn't 15% while enchanted) and a max paragon shield with +45HP while enchanted -2dmg while enchanted... with full windwalkers...
there are 6 enchantments in my build... though even when i was running only 2 and trying out the direct attack sycth build i used the preorder to keep my enchants up longer and for the 15% dmg for being enchanted...
even though some derv builds have been played without dependance on enchants... enchantments are the Dervishes strength... the really do rely on their enchants to be anything for the most part... i ran the same for my assassin with while enchanted gear... because i was enchanted almost constantly... and i was able to depend more on my enchants than on health staying constant above 50%...
imagine this if you would in any circumstance... both u and your aponent are running about even with your health doing about the same amound of dmg... you both drop below 50% your oponent was using 15%^50 you are using while enchanted and of corse you have an enchantment on or two...whos gonna get the uper hand now...
next thing is.. if ur stripped of enchantments whats gonna happen next... almost all enchantement help you do more dmg keep you heal or protect you in some way... when they are removed its so more dmg can be done to you... your health is going to drop... but now u can re-enchant yourself usually faster than healing yourself back up all the way...
what im saying is if your using enchants your pretty much better off relying on that for your equipment...stripped or not your enchants can be reaplied... to me its more of a controllable variable in the mess of things...

Ive got a weapon set that gives me +32 energy, and I can use it on any of my 14 characters. Sehdens Mark, and Golden Boar Sceptor. Its a Necro weapon set, but dont think that stops me from using it on my mesmers
