Unique Drop (3 x likely) Weekend Planned - ((Elona Only))

For those of you bored with Nightfall already, maybe this is good news for you.

I know what I will be doing this weekend Now if I can just hold off playing for the rest of the week, I won't feel so pathetic when I play nonstop from Friday to Sunday

well.....three times zero is still zero......doesnt mean much for me except that the bosses in elona dont seem to drop green items and having to multiple it by 3 means I am right! (cantha was only 2x)

Are these bosses even solo farmable?

Well think of it this way. In multiple runs, even with hench and hero, you are at least 1.5 times more likely to get the green to drop for you and not one of your heros or henchmen.

It'll provide a little bit of entertainment if it actually works. I got a whopping two dye drops on the double dye drop weekend. It would be better if it were rares.

because green prices weren't already low enough....finally I can bring out my minion master...oh wait thats nerfed to.

Ha ha ha, did you read the Factions TRIPLE green drop weekend thread, and decide "Wow, that would be cool to use. 3^0 is zero. Great joke!". Yeah, that's very original.

Like I said in the above, it was times three. They ended up impletmenting the 6v6 HoH that weekend, and promised the green drop would be better. They made it times three.

If the last event that was in Cantha with the bosses dropping 3x is any indication of how this one will be, then greens will be dropping left and right. There were a lot of happy people that weekend and prices on greens fell like a rock for a while.

I think that for all the future events, ANet shouldn't announce that they are even happening, because all people do is complain. Just hold them in some district somewhere and see who shows up. I think people who are actually playing are less likely to complain than people who are commenting on forums, since that is what brings a lot of people to forums.

OMG WTF are you thinking?!?!?!?!. OK that part is out of the way now to why this is a BAD THING.

There is a little thing called enconomy and you are messing with it big time. Nightfall hasnt even been out a full month and you are allready skrewing the pony with this weekend event.

Greens should be able to mature with some time ( not less then 3 weeks) so that the vaule of them will stablize. Once they have been around for a while people will except a certin price range for them.

Now if you do this at this point in nightfall's life, you can ruin the NF greens forever. We all know once green rate increases price goes down. After this weekend so early in the game, the green prices may never recover. So like greens will be worth like 10-20k a piece and will mess up with the green farmers that use that for their source of making money.

PLEASE dont do this now. Wait like a month or two so more people will get further in the game so they will have a chance to get those greens they want/need.

woot! A bit early for 3X green drops, but I wont complain!
Cantha's event was great, but I had a few toons that completed the storyline by the time that came out.

They are doing what they took so long to do with Cantha and stabilize the Green Market before it gets obscenely overpriced. They are probably also appealing to the new classes by making the new Scythe and Spear classes readily available for purchase.

Just another way for me to make money this weekend, just gotta find a suitable boss to farm with either a necro or ranger.

Seriously though, that drama is a bit excessive for a game.

More events like that and I might buy Nightfall....
That's just marketing I guess, like the dye-drop weekend to get more undecided people to buy Nightfall......

Most greens are nearly worthless already anyways because of the flag trick that most people do it with ever since Nightfall was released.

This just makes it easier for me to get the one I want ^^

This I actually like better than the factions x3 (Though I'm certain just like the factions one - drop rates will barely change enough to matter).

Why? This one is actually timed very well. At a period where greens in Nightfall are still inflated and prices vary greatly. I'll bet by the end of this x3 weekend we start seeing some consistent pricing on the popular greens and those prices will be under the current inflation.

Time to get my caster heroes equipped with something better than spiritbinders then
