we find out about my favorite npc in the game--palwa joko (he just says the funniest things). but my question is, after we get to the bone palace, we never hear of him again. when we first meet him he seems like he will play bigger role in the game besides telling you how to use the wurms. ill also quote zhed shadowhoof "im sure well be seeing him again". and we all know hints like that in guild wars are always an obvious hint to the rest of the game. now i may not remember correctly, but what exactly happens to palwa joko after the gates of desolation/bone palace?
palwa joko? *possible spoilers*

It's actually an interesting question. Is it, for instance, possible for Palawa to redeem himself - or at least decide that he's tried and failed once, he's going to sit around and be nice in his own territory for a while?
It is worth noting that by the end of Nightfall, he knows there are heroes around that were responsible for bringing down a god - and even before that, at least some of the heroes around will have taken down a lich before. He's probably smart enough not to make himself the next target on the list...
Furthermore, if you return to the Chantry of Secrets, once you've crossed the Desolation there's a quest available which is basically "find the tunnels Palawa used to invade Vabbi in the first place". Ultimately, if Palawa was going to attack again, he's not going to catch Elona by surprise like he did the first time - even if you don't do the quest, they're still going to keep in mind that they should keep an eye on the mines as long as he's sitting on the other side.
Metagaming it a little, it is worth noting that he does end up as a permanent feature in an outpost, where major characters destined to have an unpleasant end normally only show up in missions and explorables. It would kind of destroy the suspension of disbelief if you were to kill him in some quest, then come back and find him still standing around in his palace giving out quests... (It's actually something I think ANet messed up a little. Even if they plan on having him remain in place forever, they should have kept him out of the outpost just to keep the issue in doubt...)

I still put my bets on Palawa having a major role in ch4 he just has the whole super villian scheme all over him (Although in a stupid way ya know with those villians that never succeed but always come back)
We need more Joko love mon!
Btw! look in the manual what does his text say? ''Who knows, History is still being written.''

if joko were to gain power, it would take a lot of time.... most of these campaigns take place very close to each other, they are proximal in the sense of time... it really doesnt make sense to add a quest where palawa joko becomes all powerful, because then what? So he rebuilt his whole army in a day? 1 year? so you see the issues you could have there... I assume palawa joko would need several upon several years to regain any strength?

On the other side of things - how long did it take the Lich or Shiro to amass forces that could threaten the entire continent? Undead forces - or forces otherwise formed from converting an innocent or even enemy populace, such as through the Affliction - can be built up a lot faster than a mortal army. And that's without considering the possibility of finding some other source of troops like the Titans.
Still, I suspect his plan for reestabolishing domination, if he has one, does have "wait until the current swarm of heroes has died down." Really, considering what the PCs have accomplished at the end of Nightfall, he'd be stupid to try something while they're still around.
