UW vs FOW?

Whats the difference between the underworld and Fissure of woe?

1. I've never been to either, but heard a lot about them.
2. I know there are 2 entrances an TOA is one, but i need clarification on the differences.

toa has entrances to both. to really know the difference, you have to visit them and experience it for yourself.

UW has creatures of the demonic/ghostly type. FoW has a mixed group of undead and the "shadow army" that are White Mantle like, and then a few themed areas such as plants, hydras, and spiders.

also pertaining to rare drops, ectoplasm only drops in the UW, and obsidian shards only drop in FoW. the monsters in the UW include aataxes(which can knock out a squishy caster in two hits), smite beetles(smiting dmg), coldfires(water elemental damage), terrorwebs(fire damage), and memser-like creatures(dont remember their names). monsters in FoW are shadowlike, and come in every profession, there is also a forest full of icky nature-like creatures, and a cave with poison spiders in it.

the entrance at ToA is much easier to use than the other one, which is located in Lonars Pass.

Ok, that helped me a bit. How do i get to each, are they the same entrance and i get to both that way?

Cost to enter each is 1000g.
Kneel at one of the two statues to summon its keeper.
Grenth's statue will take you to Underworld.
Balthazar's statue will take you to Fissure of Whoa.
