Olias make a good MM?

Well, as the title of this post says, in your opinion and experience, does Olias makes a good or decent MM?

I ask this because I've tried it, yesterday, and it wasn't really good one. I mean, I put him the complete MM build (golem, 2 minions skill, BotM, Verata's, Healing Area...), and he did nothing but raise 4-6 minions at most (he never raised more than 6, I swear) and then S-P-A-M the skill Healing Area. Yea, I did not see him using BotM or Verata's, although I put both before than Healing Area, on the skill bar.


Well, about the stats and such, they were fine. Soul Reaping at 10, Death magic maxed, and rest to Healing prayers.

Anyway, he wasn't a good MM, he couldn't raise more than 6 minions at a time, and I never saw him using BotM or Verata's to heal his minions, which is stupid and weird.

Anyone make him a good MM? could explain me how? or its not possible make a good MM with the shitty AI of this game.

Olias is a godlike MM, the problem's in the build - it's both objectively suboptimal and bad for the AI because of heal skill usage priorities Try this one for something completely different

I dunno but the max number of minions he can raise depends on the death magic stats(check the description). u maxed the death magic so i assume it's at 12. He should be able to raise 8 minions max with 12 DM.

My Olias makes a decent MM. he doesn't even need to bring any healing skills except for BotM and Verata's(mebbe cuz i always bring 2 monk heroes or henchies in my team). If i remember correct i gave him Golem, fiend, horror, BotM, Verata's, Death Nova, BR and Rebirth. He does everything nicely.

So why not try leaving out the healing spells and put the stats into something else if possible. and see if he can raise 10 minions at 16 death magic

Yes he can have 10, and he does it with style Frankly, AI is a better MM than 90% of players I've seen, simply because of reflexes in noting and exploiting corpses. He will raise new ones when he's at 10 too, so the engine works perfectly.

Olias is great MM but he needs to get proper build. Yes, he can be excellent interrupter with /me and he can use mark of pain synergy well. The problem is that if you confuse his AI with too many tasks he forget what his primary job is

I agree. If Olias is set up right. He is a monster to deal with. I tried my normal MM build I use as a template and he had troubles. I switched over to Urfins build and was just flabbergasted at how badass Olias was. Easliy had 9/10 Minions at all times after battles.

My only question is about Orders. Does it work for me if I'm using a staff as a weapon? Either way Olias is Goot at MMing.

No, staves do elemental damage, Orders are for physical. Basically, OoP may not be the best uber-effective choice to burn all that minion engine energy on, but it's no extra attribute cost in this build and works wonderfully with physical parties, which own PVE. Although [skill=text]Searing Flames[/skill] + [skill=text]Glowing Gaze[/skill] now spoil the picture a bit

I am running Life Siphon, Parasitic Bond, Insidious Parasite, Vampiric Gaze, Suffering, Plague Sending, Signet of Agony and Faintheartedness

For Olias I have him set up with Animate Bone Fiend, Animate Bone Horror, Animate Flesh Golam, Animate Vampiric Horror, Soul Feast, Death Nova, Well of Suffering and Verata's Aura.

I dont have any really great runes to speak of at the moment because I dont really have the armor that I want... but I have not really had a lot of problems with this combo when combined with a good Mo and W...
