Guild WArs failing to conect to Anet after this evenings new build.... just me?

The title says it all, just trying to find out if it's just me or if everyone's having the same issue connecting.

Also, after restarting the game it did download the new build before going into the connect screen, but at this point it goes nowhere from there.

I'm having the same problem. My whole computer just freezes and I have to restart I've sent out a support question so maybe they'll get back to me...

Yea i have the same problem it wont connect and it sits there 4 ages =_=

Hi guys I'm having the same problem was ok last night and just tried to connect to areannet now and nothing happens, its stuck on 0 percent. Any ideas?

ah ok fixed it lol, guys check your firewall settings, each time GW updates I have to re-allow my the game on my firewall settings (McAfee) anyway just check to make sure you haven't blocked guild wars by mistake.

and i miss GW so much lol

Got the same problem here, tried to open the ports, disable anti-virus programs, switched router, nothing worked so now I can´t play guild wars

I use:

Nod32 anti-virus program (disabled, and excluded the ports)
Netgear WTG624v3
Connection type: DSL

well i suppose theres nothing to do but hope they bring a patch out that fixies it

Well if it´s only for a few people it probably has something to do with software and/or hardware, I'm going to check a few possibilities tomorrow, I post here if I find anything.

Hmm that is very strange, if using a router try a conenction the internet via a modem if possible. A direct connection may fix the issue. If this fails there maybe some sort of software conflict so try a system restore or uninstall guild wars and re-install.

Nothing super on the wiz side, just some basic stuff to try.

Strange thing is, I have tried two different routers and I get the same problem, no other application acts in this way.

Ok we have a problem with the re-install option
when i go to install it, it stays at the end "Connecting to Anet" and it aint doing anything so last option is 2 formt my computer all i gotta do now is find my windows CD

I'm fairly sure it has something to do with your Internet connection. I just waited a day or two (this is on DSL) and it worked fine even if it was a bit laggy.

No, my problem was not caused by the connection, I think the updater skipped a file or two, a reinstall solved the problem here.

well i cant install so it might be my connection but i gotta format anyway cause my comp full of s**t so it wont do any harm

lol i had the same problem when they did a update i tried every thing you did the only thing that fix it was to do a master restore on my computer not just a regular restore you have to restore it to the point at which you got it and i know it sucks but it's the only thing that had work for me

it happens to me mostly after and update. Ive tried everything i can think of and nothing. So i just come back in about an hour or so and it usually works
