Dragonmeet - We'll be there!

Hey everyone,

We'll be announcing this officially on the EU websites later this week, however I wanted to let you all know today as tickets for Dragonmeet went on sale yesterday.

NCsoft Europe is going on the road again in a few weeks. Of interest for the Guild Wars people out there is that we'll be at Dragonmeet on the 2nd of December. You can find out more about Dragonmeet itself at the link, however I wanted to pass on some details about what we'll be doing there.

Looks like I'll be hooking up with some guys and heading down there for the sealed play. Representing [EW], [ICE], [Te] and [QQ] - does anyone stand a chance?

Confused too. I clicked on the first link & it all seems to relate to card/board games, and I cannot find any mention of GW, Anet, NC Soft anywhere.

TBH Im not interested in card/board games & if NC Soft are to be there in any great presence you'd have thought some mention of it would be made!

You just look at the prize list and think 'Hey! Free shirts!', don't you?

Great to see we're going to have a few known names from the community come along. Looking forward to meeting those I haven't met previously.

Oh, we'll be there don't worry about that. The Dragonmeet website just hasn't been updated to include that information yet. As previously mentioned we'll be running a GW Sealed Play tournament.

I am going to make an effort to get there with my son.

We are only 20 miles away from the venue, so I dont really have an excuse for not going.

Are the any age limits on taking part in the sealed deck games though?

The Sealed Deck pages on the main site still contain a couple of errors (3/7/10 distribution rule in the HTML version, versus the old 1/3/5 in the PDF official rules), and we still don't have the rarity level of Nightfall skills, nor the skill cards for Nightfall cards. I tried to contact Gaile and Mike Gills but I guess my message got lost in the swarm of fan mail they're receiving.

The most recent dated version (ie, the HTML one) is the one that counts. For the rest, I don't yet know when Nightfall cards will be made available. Hopefully it won't be too long.

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately we've been forced to cancel the tournament. We've today discovered that the internet access at the site will not be capable of what we need.

We'll still be going to Dragonmeet, so if anyone does come along we'll be there for a chat and we'll be discussing what else we can do to fill the day.


With the bad news out of the way, here's some good news:

We're going to host a Guild Wars event in Brighton on Feb 3rd next year. We'll be hiring a net cafe and filling the day with all sorts of GW-related activities (probably including some form of Sealed Play ). As space in a net cafe is generally limited we'll be running a competition in the lead up to Christmas to give away invites to the event. Keep you eyes on the EU websites for details coming soon!
