I went back to the island and wandered around looking for quests I missed, and found 3. On of them was called DOg Day (something), not afternoon. It was froma farmer west of astralarium in the big open farmland there past the corsairs. He gave me the quest and a riddle with it about his buried treasure. I dont remember the whole riddle, but partly what was there is "and the dunes shall hide their glint from the elders" The quest is all about finding his lost treasure. Im willing to bet you half this treasure you found that it completes the worthless low quest

The Quest treasure you're talking about is a stuffed bear called Bobo (Simpsons' reference anyone?)

HEY BLITZ
where the F was this bear thingie
i spent something like 1 hour roaming arround the end bit, where the palace thingie is looking for the tower and never found the damn thing.
thinking it was a bug i redid at least 2 times and never found the damn thing.
i gave up
but i would like to re-attempt it lol
