It wasn't until a recent update that I noticed that if you are running through a group of enemies and you manage to get past, the game still believes you are running but are instead stuck where you got body blocked.
I was running some buddies of mine to LA just for halloween this year and it was running through ascalon when I noticed that I was still being attacked by the Char that I had just passed. The game continued to let me run all the way to the portal, and actually past it. Needless to say, this was a setback because I had to run all the way back to where I got body-blocked and get the Char to move so I can get past them.
I'm not experiencing any rubber-banding like when I'm lagging. I'm also on Cable internet 1.5MB/128k.
Anyone else having this same issue?
Running and getting body blocked

Same thing happened to me a few hours back.
Running through a band of Gypsie Ettins towards Beetletun, suddenly seeing -35 and -50 popping up every second and keep running. Then it teleports me back in the group, I run around and head for the Portal. (I noticed my kbs stalling at 50)
Then I froze up a few steps away from the portal and lost connection completely. (as it turns out my lagging self DID get into Beetletun

)Yup same here, and I'm also having mobs keep on me for a very long time. I've heard about this from someone I ran from Beacon's to LA for 1k. He thought it was cheap, and I asked why. He said that people have been charging up to 3k over price for runs because mobs will often follow you a while.
I then noticed it as I was running toward Ascalon, they're VERY persistent. I'll venture to say that this actually does have something to do with runners and that it's not simply a choice of changing mob behavior for realism.
Oh, by the way, you can get through Scoundrel's Sunrise pretty quickly as a Dervish
. You use Vow of Silence and that new Ranger no attribute run skill and avoid getting near the foes because of grasping earth.

I've actually run through a portal and kept on going because the still believed I was body blocked half way through the map.
The only way to deal with it now is to run back to where you got body blocked and try to get whatever is attacking you to move out of the way.

I am having a similar problem in Nightfall. During the 'Ghosts in the Graveyard' quest outside Blacktide Den, I find myself or my party blocked in by the NPCs I am rescuing. No Amount of clicking or running will fix the problem. In a number of occasions, I have been able to run away from my party but only a small distance until I get teleported back to the vicinity of the group. My Party however is hopelessly imprisoned inside the NPC group.
It is very frustrating and I have a Question into NCSoft on the matter. I half-overheard a conversation online that they may have patched the game to keep people from using runners. But, I came in to the discussion late and didnt ask the question at the time. So..I dont know. I'll let you know if I get a satisfactory answer.

I have the exact same problem on the "To Ask For More" mission *sigh*
I am hopelessly imprisoned inside the bloody NPCs who seems to want to all stay within a meter of me...
It's VERY frustrating since it's about the 6th or 7th time I've done it (to try to finish the quest) and...the exact same thing...

Would this count as running and being bodyblocked while running at the same time? This is attempt #3 (looks just like #1 and #2) of running a friend's Monk to Bergan Hot Springs.
Clearly I'm being hit telekinetically by a group of Tengu that is almost completely off the radar. CLEARLY. Where's my eye-rolling smiley when I need one?

Yeah I've been getting this really bad.
But also, I have a related problem where using a skill causes me to warp backwards. It is most noticeable when running, but I get it whatever I'm doing. Use a skill, move a few feet backwards. Also when I go through a portal I can run into the new area for 5-10 seconds before it loads the new area.
And of course, error 7 every few mins.

I have had this issue as well, which is frustrating, since I'm in college and my connection is pretty good. The lag like that occurs mostly on the wireless though.
My wireless connection atm:
Download Speed: 4793 kbps (599.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 2566 kbps (320.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
still lagging..

When I was running some people thru Ice Floe, I would stop running to cast SB and I'd fall back like 5 steps.... continue to run and THOUGH I lost agro so I casted a healing spell but yet again fall back 5 steps and re-agro... yeah...
I too would be uhh screaming obscenities... trying to do other places.
I'm on a 6Mbps line.

I've been getting this a lot as well, it's very annoying. I also get it in towns a lot too, I'll be running to the storage or somewhere and almost there, then *poof* I'm back at some stairwell still or something. I have a high speed connection as well. Seems like a lagging thing, but for some reason I don't think it is.

but yeah, sort of.
