Help, which one is better? N/D or D/N?

Hi all, i'm pretty new to the game.
I just bought Nightfall and Phropecies and i was thinking of creating my first character as a combo of Dervish and Necromancer, which both attract me.
I'm gonna create a PvE char, because i want to first do the story then start doing PvP.

So i was wondering which template is better and why? Dervish/Necro or Necro/Dervish?

well, that depends. If you like going into a fight, having a sythe and doing heavy damage pick Devish.

If you like minions, hexes and health stealing pick necromancer.
I would suggest devish/necro because necro has close up damage.
If you pick devish/necro... well I'm not an expert with all devish spells.
Either way, you can't lose. There is no strong and weakest character.

If you wanna do PvP, you must not do it with N/D or D/N. you must be able to play all characters.

If you wanna be a front line fighter, go D/N. If you wanna be a caster, go N/D.

Consult the builds on this page and look at how people have been playing different classes. I believe most of the Nightfall ones are still being tested; but look at how people have been using Necros to get a good idea.

I myself am not familiar with the Dervish; right off hand I would recommend probably Necro secondary and just focus on their touch spells and maybe some hexes; or possibly their life draining stuff. I wouldn't focus on Minion raising just because that gets costly in the energy department.

But if ya find a combo that cleans house, let me know.
