Nightfall came with no access key

I can't believe my luck. I open the box and no access key. I just hope Best buy will take it back. I thought I might have dropped it, but looked everywhere and nothing.

It's in a black square thing with places to rip, in case you overlooked it. Otherwise, that sucks. Perhaps Best Buy will take it back, but I doubt it.

I looked everywhere for it and nothing. Even the cellophane hadn't been ripped, so i dont know what happened

I got one from Bestbuy, Guild Wars Prophecies, and it's key was ripped. I got it returned and exchanged for another one.

Maybe they'll take mine back and AT LEAST let me exchange it. I mean, it's not like I've returned 10 other copies of nightfall. Besides, I bought it with a gift card, so they dont even have to reimburse me cash. I just hope for an exchange.

The same thing happened to me today and now I am left talking to GW support people hoping they can fix the problem

meanwhile these places typically wont allow the return of opened games...

Sounds like a great way to make money.

It happened to a friend on mine once on a Factions CE, he went back to the retailer and emailed support as well. He got a new key only after a week or two.

If he still has his recept, plus the box info, he has all the proof that he made a purchese, so, something ought to be doable

This is interesting, I actually got 2 key cards in my box, maybe that is where you key card went

I had the same problem with my CE edition of Factions that I purchased online.

I wrote to the support, explaining the situation and giving them "proofs" (when and where I bought it, scan of the bill, photo of the barcode, of the content of the box etc...), and I received a CE key 3 or 4 days after.

Try to give as much details as possible.
And be sure to give all the proofs of your purchase.

The same thing happened to a guildie of mine. He just exchanged it for another one and made sure to open it before he got out of the parking lot :P

I had heard stories about this before I got the game. When I went to the shop, though, I could see the "credit card" through the see-through side of the box. Prospective buyers might want to check for that in the future, just so they're sure the game comes with an activation code. (this was with the EU normal version. Other versions might not be see-through)

Lol I know somone who used his cellphone to to photograph a Counter Strike CD Key. I'd never steal but I'm not everyone so............

this happened to me as well

i preordered Nightfall CE and when it arrived it had no key, i got in touch with GW support and explained everything.
They asked for a copy of the receipt and the bar code number and then they sent me a new key.
