seriously, i think the only reason that Anet made these changes is that hero are coming out, and they dont want make place like UW or FOW so easy that u can farm yourself and with a SS or 55 hero. Beside, Anet close one door and opens another, don't you guys see the exploitation can happen once you take 3 hero(with the perfect skill combo), you can rampage through UW or FOW easily?

LMAO I can easily bond one warrior hero and have him wipe out half of the stone summit.(I did it before, had a friend bonding me, I played warrior).

However i doubt you will be able to bring Heroes into the UW/FOW.
You can't bring Henchies there either.

I havent thought of that, but when i heard that you can bring hero to anywhere from campaign to campaign, I was sure that Anet will let your hero ascend, therefore letting them, you know go into UW or FOW

anyway I'm already starting to think about a 4 man fow team, a bonder(me), healer hero, warrior and (SS or Nuker), anyway, should be interesting

I don't think you will get the drops that the heros would get, just like it is with the henchies now.

I would hope that your heros drops would go to you. In that you are expected to dress them, feed them and outfit them with toys it would seem logical to me that receiving their drops would make sense.

Which is probably why you won't get their drops.

Sorry but i dont see what all the fuss and debate is about... if you keep melee groups small they dont scatter for one thing.. proved in UW, Queen farm ans several other areas... work out what small constitutes for yourself. Also whats the big deal with dual spirit bonders being non viable in uw? You have still got a huge range of choices if you MUST farm uw / fow.
For example: 55 Mes solo still works fine, so i assume 55 ele, 55 nec etc will still be good.. not to mention doubling your take as opposed to dual farming. In any event if dualling is your bag.. 55 mo with ss/sv still works.. so please.. no more whining over one small nerf and find a way round it. ohhh finally.. negating for a second the aoe scatter issue.. spirit bond can be dispensed with by using a 8hp, 13hp, 17hp build with HB in spirit bonds place largely... and the upside is... if you die as an 8/17 hp farmer it isnt the end of the farm.. you were farming with 60% dp anyway.

I took my Starburster though the Vermin at Senji's Corner. I killed off the mob but I died due to degen. If I could have a monk bond me (hero) then I would have been fine. I could carry 2 eles in my party, and also a Monk and Necro. I would be one ele, another would be a Starburster Hero, to make things go faster. One a bonding monk and one a necro for BiP... Farming is not over yet!

Heroes will not have access to the fissure or UW due to the inability of henchies to access it (explicitly says that heroes can go wherever henchies can)

Question: how about urgoz and the deep?
I know tombs is viable.

And yes, it's safe to say drops will go to your heroes (otherwise farming would be supremely unbalanced)

Heroes are NOT the solution to farming...

Their principles in a party are the EXACT same as henchmen. They will also get drops, making them just as likely to eat up your potentional good drops as regular henchies were.

And if you think farming with them will increase productivity and in turn slightly increasing volume, and in turn increasing your chances of attaining drops... Think again, again! All primary farming methods have just been deemed HORRIBLY inefficient and others just completely obliterated.

Nice thinking, but honestly, its been thought of already before this update, which in turn ruined so many potential fun ideas with heros.

oh well. cheers!

Maybe the AoE change (nerf if you must) was more to stop lvl20 tyrians or canthans going to elona, grabbing some low lvl heroes and powerlevelling them up by 55'ing trolls, vermin or whatever and given a few weeks it could be changed back.

Just a thought

Please, could anyone CONFIRM if you can or not enter UW/FOW with heroes? If the answer is yes, I say this IS good for solo farmers, because if you make a 55 hero monk, you could (with your necro) make the SS, and will be the same % of ectos for you that if you do a duo with a real person, EXACTLY the same ectos; Hero just get 50%.

Someone owes me 1 Plat :P
Anyways, tested and confirmed. You can bring heroes into the Underworld and the Fissure of Woe. I've just tested it with Olias - it works.

Drop assignments are COMPLETELY random. Ratios however would stay relatively the same, but remember this ratio is in regards to ALL drops within a certain time frame. Now the kicker is that drop ASSIGNMENTS are at a completely random order as it always had been. So just as it acts as with henchies, you stand to lose several ecto/shards/rare items in a row to the heroes.

This is all too obvious for regular UW duo farmers. Often one person will get 3 or more ectos in a run, while the other person didn't get a single one. This is what initially fueled the "50/50" rule for Duo Farmers.

Hate tah burst the bubble, just wanna get it known before people waste time with it. Don't get me wrong though, farming with a hero could be GREAT fun, im just saying that we should not expect it to be profitable...

cheers!

you won't get 50% chance of ectos.. and heros took the drops like henchies. you cant put the items from their inventory to yours. thats all.

I mean is absolutely the SAME having a Hero/Henchie OR Real Person in your party, about drops. It's absolutely the SAME make a duo farm with someone or hero, both have 100% same possibilities of getting drops, mathematically speaking. I know you could make an agreement for 50/50 with a real person, but I talking about mathematic, not agreements

Anyway, I am REALLY happy about enter UW/FoW with Heroes, because I like a lot the solo play, and this make a lot of possibilities for some new farming ideas.

Um, you do know that if you have Heroes with party wide buffs, and they stay out of combat range, you can recieve their buffs without taking a hit to XP or drops?

So, in places like UW you might loose drops at the first fight, but... in the smites, you can still solo while the heroes stay an appreciable distance aways.

Figuring out how to easily kill "solo" smites might be a bit challenging (EoE Hero anyone?) but its totally doable.

(PS: Learn logic. "Heroes can go everywhere Henchies can" does not mean "All places where Henchies can not go, Heroes can not go")

Is that true? Then just make yourself a Barrier/Bond hero with a dervish secondary for the 5 energy Mystic healing and stick him half a radar back... wonder if that would work?
