Creating a new character has the advantage of letting you see the whole story from the beginning, although if it's anything like factions you won't be missing much... and of course starting with a level 20 lets you start with full skill, attribute and max armor... |
you can see the whole story even if you use a tyrian/canthan character!
at Guild Wars Nightfall Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) they say:
Players who own Nightfall and one or both of the prior campaigns can travel between the regions by boat through Lion's Arch in Tyria, Kaineng Center in Cantha, or Kamadan in Elona, depending on which campaign(s) they possess.
so your foreigner character starts from kamadan, which we all know is first city local characters go to...
maybe im wrong tho

I will bring my warrior over first and then make a paragon. My warrior I PvP with so I will have to pick up some new skills. I don't think discrimination will be that bad for dervishes and paragons this time around. They both seem much more solid classes (aka not a ganker who dies easily) and you can just use heroes to fill out what you need if everyone is playing a dervish/paragon.

Create a Paragon.... do mission 1....do mission 2....do mission 3... do some extremely boring farming to get my piece of shit sunrank up... do mission 4... do some more farming for sunrank... do mission 5...
And so on and so forth... wonder when we can actually start enjoying the game to its full?

A bunch of people in my alliance and I have decided to take our lvl 20 chars through all the primary quests and missions, to uncover good farming spots and just in general figure out the story line. After we have done this, we are all planning to start new chars and go through it again. I'm going with my Ranger the 1st time, and finally getting around to making a Monk or a Warrior for the actual playing.

Gonna be playing Nightfall most likely in this Order/sequence.
Create a Paragon,Dervish and Elementalist/ritualist ASAP to mule (45 X 3 slots= 135 inv slots) before anything else happens! Also for name reservations purposes.
Monk-Inspite of Heros, A human monk will always be better than a non human one if played well. Easy to get grp to advance into the story and learn the missions/monk for guild later.
Paragon-After finishing the game once, time to try one of the new classes. Meanwhile look up forums for FoW armour of paragon and Dervish and 15k for other classes.
Necro-Moving the cookie cutter farmer to Profitable areas.
Ranger main-Its Armour Time!
Dervish-Bored Doing level 20 missions, time to go back and bully some Skales.
Warrior-low priority farmer coming through, make way.
Mesmer-I am bored what else can i do.
Assassin-After having unlocked all the skills in Nightfall i want/need, its time to bring the PvE step child through NF with Heros + hencies solo.
Newly created Elementalist-get initial skills in NF, go back to Tyria to get skill via quest, play through NF, go back to Factions buy skills and get endgame green.
______FARM ELITE MISSION AND GREENS________
Get Paragon and Dervish to Factions, complete and get end game greens.
____FARM/GRIND UNTIL FINGERS & EYES BLEED____
________________WAIT FOR C4_________________
