ArenaNet will not load.

It's been an entire year now. The bar loads most of the way, then just stops. And stays there.

Initially, when I first started playing on a friend's account it worked fine for a while. Then it just stopped. I checked firewalls and all of that, I tried the arenanet tech support or whatever, I tried asking for help in various places but to no avail.

So today I tried downloading the client again (after a year) to see if it would finally work (though I can't actually play, having no account anymore and all). And it didn't.

So does anyone have any advice to offer? At all?

That definitely is weird. I have played GW's on a lot of computers and have never had that problem. All I can say is that if you have a router make sure the port that GW's uses is not blocked. Also, maybe try a CD instead of the client off the website?

My friend has the same problem. It always loads to the same % and then slowly dies off and eventually stops loading.

are u having problems downloading the client itself from the website or after u install...then start getting the updates? (not sure cuz i installed off of cd but trying to be helpful) IF u can get GW to run...full download from website. after install and before logging in add the -image to the end of your shorcut...this will download all of the files u should need. If u could be a little more specific i could maybe help u some more.

try disabling the firewall to see if it works maybe you got it blocked some firewalls really suck *cough*notron*cough"
