Are all greens going to be worthless?

Its a good way to promote Nightfall for new players as well for veteran players.
Imagine how things have unfold from the beginning til now:
Guild wars pre SF:________________________________
Max golds with 15^50 and perfect mods - 100k+
Guild wars post SF pre tombs:______________________
Green became popular and some prices soared up to 100k
Max golds with 15^50 and perfect mods - little harder to sell
Guild wars post SF post tombs:______________________
SF greens prices started to fall due to over farming
Tomb green prices never really spiked except for the victor Bulwark for a period.
Max golds with 15^50 and perfect mods - harder to sell
Factions release pre 3X:_____________________________
GWF Greens prices spiked during the first few weeks but generally declined rapid due to experienced over farming.
SF greens maintains in the affordtable range.
Max golds with 15^50 and perfect mods - hard to sell unless nice skins.
Factions post 3X:____________________________________
Cantha greens dumped even further close to being affordtable to the masses.
SF greens remains affordtable.
Nightfall with inscriptions prediction:______________________
Will likely follow the trend of factions as prices will spike for the first month or so as those who are rich will be willing to pay high amounts to be one of the first few players to own some of the green weapons whose skin is nice and unique. But over time over farming will cause prices to stablise.
Max golds with 15^50 and perfect mods - close to worthless with inscriptions.
GWP and GWF green prices will stablise and remain affordtable to the masses while some prices may raise gradually alittle due to a lack of supply.
Hence to say, the newer chapters is where the money making will always be and these events pushes the enconmy in such a way that it will remain pointless to farm in the old areas for profit unless you havent have the old greens from there already.
Hope this answers the OP question.

not useless. still max mods...
just not something you are going to make 60k+ a pop selling. i like farming too but i generally just farm for vendor trash since the greens became reasonably priced. did have a little burst of cash from the greens though, wouldn't mind the equivilant in nf so i can afford the new skills and possibly 15k armor for the new 3 characters.
other problem with greens is the non-upgradable thing. that's what kills them, especially with possible inscription salvage. that's going to probably make everything affordable.

I'd like to see a Green Item Trader. He should work the same as the Dye Traders or Material Traders. Players will be able to sell him (or buy from him) green stuff for quoted prices. Also I'd like to see a green items raise base value from 35gp to say 500gp at least, it really hurts my eyes to see myself selling greens to merchant because I don't like spending hours shouting WTS and I need my inventory space for something more useful. Just my two cents.

Many people already consider greens to be worthless. You can get easily replicate any green with collectors items or mods.
I'm not amoung them however. I think most of them look sweet, green is my favorite color and the mods are all max (for the greens worth farming).
I think the double drop weekend was just a way to get players the greens they want from Cantha before everyone moves to NF. And they will. Farmers, players, botters all: everyone will be moving to Elona soon and Canthan greens will be yesterdays news; something people might grab for a PvE toon while they are tweeking a build.
