this was to easy to overlook

I had more FUN on this quest than anything in the preview
- its you, heroes, and level 12 henchies against 6 waves of skales

I was level 18 Derv when I did this and it was rough!

some people were unable to do the quest because its part of a quest chain

the sequence of quests are..

It really was one of the best missions in the preview, I personally liked the Flamingo herding more... It was a good quest especially to learn more about controlling the heroes etc. as I was doing it with a guildie, with 6 heroes. Had a blast

Same here, 2 players, 6 heroes. I loved it! More Master Quests like this, please

That mission was the most non-stop, heart-pounding part of the preview. I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I took it... but damn! as a lvl 18 Derv I had a blast. Barely any time to catch my breath between waves, it reminded me a bit of the Titan Quests from Prophecies. Being thrown into that situation with Heroes.. if you didn't know how to "drive" them before the mission, you knew afterwards (or, you were dead and cursing yourself : "Damn! I should have done the tutorial mission!").

I pray Nightfall is LOADED with stuff like this!! : )

if your talking about the quest i think your talking about, i did it as about level 7 D/Mo and my friend (level 6 D/V), each of our Koss heroes, and henchmen.

It was pretty easy all things considered, and it certainly did keep me pressured for heals and energy, but it wasn't anything TOO difficult

This quest was like the baby brother of zos shrivos challenge mission.
A bit of AOE and Putrid explosion owned it in fine style, shame it wasn't repeatable after completion, was a nice earner.

Had quite a bit of trouble with that particular quest until i understood the tactic to apply.

@Lambentviper : I fail to understand how you could have won against those waves of skales of which quite a few were level 18 with a level 7 Dervish and a Level 6 Dervish. If you do not mistake it for the quest where you have to guard a wall while someone is going to fetch his tools then you have my congratulations.

the quest NPC "warps you" to a small fort to defend with 3-4 token guards

if you werent defending a fort with gates
- you are thinking of the wrong quest

That was without a doubt the single best quest of the event (though there were some other darn good ones). I went in with henchmen and got mauled twice; ended up doing it with a PUG of myself (ranger), 2 Dervishes, 3 Paragons, and two monk heroes. All I can say is that Flame Trap was a beautiful sight there

Now THAT'S what the Titan quests should have been like

Hee, hee...I had a bit of trouble with them with my paragon + henchies/heroes. The main issue there was the lack of unlocks (yay for preview accounts since char slots in the pre-order require the retail key) so my heroes (especially the monks) were a bit on the weak side. Still made it through after a few tries but got pushed around a bit those first couple. All in all, I'd agree that it was indeed one of the best quests in the preview event.
