What is the most damaging build possible?

My question as the title states is what in your opinion is the most damaging build possible? Personally although i am not an experienced assasin i am thinking an assasin along these lines.

My build would use high dmg dagger attacks along with beast ones to do a lot of dmg. I got this idea when playing the R/P in the Nightfal weekend. I noticed that i could hit for 25 with a normal spear attack and my pet could hit for another 25. When paying this build i realised that pets can basically add atleast 10dps to your build so i am trying to incorperate them to kill targets as fast as possible.

Please tell me what you think of this idea, what skills you would bring, and if their is a build that could out damage this. Also please don't flame because i already know that i am a pvp noob and i suck etc....

combined with symbiosis (and a team with enchantment spammers) Or just some "max health boosting skills"

Yep. You can get up to 1588 health ingame. (14 Strength - Endure Pain + Defy Pain + Vital Blessing @ 16 + Vital Weapon @ 16 + 45(ench.) Shield + 30 Sword + 480 base + 50 = 1588.

Grenth's if you're on 100 might 1-hit kill Sskai or someone the likes. Imagine the fun

Edit: Silly me! You can get another 166 health/enchantment with symbiosis.. so let's assume Life Barrier+Life Bond+Balth's Aura+Essence Bond+Strength of Honor, so let's add 830 to that.

you can get many thousands with symbiosis.. zzz

you mean most DPS..
Maybea a hammer warrior.. i doubt that an assassins can do more dps then a warrior.. although i may be wrong

IW mesmers have some pretty high DPS, but i doubt their the best

you cant kill somebody with grenths balance

Grenths Balance
If target foe has more health than you, you gain half the difference (up to your maximum health), and that foe loses an equal ammount

DPS is easier to stifle than say, a spike strike...

In most damaging, my opinionated definition is biggest sudden loss in hp...
Grenth's Balance comes damn close with potential to remove 250 hp from a foe [if you have 1 hp left 0_0 and they're at 500 total with runes+weap upgrades]

If you're fighting a foe with a humongous hp bar [Glint comes to mind], then you've got for sure, the most damaging capabilities in this game if you can stretch your hp max and lower your hp far enough. [Endure Pain + Demonic Flesh come to my mind with a W/N]

Against people, there are very few skills that can chop off hp in a tiny amount of time...

If we want the most hp removed in the least amount of time, assuming crits land...

Then I vote for Eviscerate {E} + Executioner's Strike! Two seconds for xxx amount of damage...

If someone can come up with a one-man spike that does more damage [in the same amount of time using only 2 direct skills *enchants+buffs don't count since you can do the same to my suggestion*] I'm all ears...

Awaken The Blood + Jaundicated Gaze + Dark Aura + Vampiric Spirit

Attribs: Blood 18, Death 15.

Gaze 68 damage/life steal, Vamp 59, Aura 50 shadow equals 177 damage/life steal.
Add Dark Pact just for kicks, that does 165 damage.
That does...342 armor ignoring damage in 2 seconds (assuming gaze steals life from opponent), also assuming that your opponent is only one in dark aura and vamp spirit range.

The burst does ~570 points of damage in 4.62 seconds.

Of course its probably not the highest possible dps, as you cant use the combo that often, but it sure is deadly.


If its about pure dps, i would say a frenzying A/W, using unsuspecting strike(jagged strike) , wild strike , and critical strike (sometimes tossing in twisting fangs. But it wouldn't be very stable either.

Agreed, the highest damage build = most useless build.

You're not going to just fight one target in pve (and for multiple targets there are echo nukers, ss, mm, barrage rangers, etc), and if you try something like a "highest damage build" in pvp you'll just get laughed at and have people call you a noob.

But yes, someone else with symbiosis and enchs + infuse health/grenth's balance would most likely be the highest damage against bosses (1000 damage in a second).
