Looking at wikipedia, I decided to type in ascalon, I got this

i see no resmemblence of ashkelon and askalon it would make more sence in Ellona tho. And there is no such thing as Khylo on wiki

It could be true cuz south of Ascalon there's the Crystal Desert
and according to Israel geography so does Ashkelon.

Why not? Definitely could have, it's not "that deep" it's just the name of a city.

I think Khylo was an Ascalon city prior to the charr attack, not another name for the kingdom

i found a city/state named Ascalon in the bible.
west of Jerusalem.
