What turns parents off..

ok i think guild wars would sell lot more if they had less nudity pictures on their front cover.

i take my parents to gamestop and i didn't even say anything and i was just looking at the game and they said no..

Ok, I'm sitting here looking at both the Guild Wars and Factions boxes and I can't see any nudity, I can see Eve and Nika respectively but definately no nudity. What the hell are you talking about? Are you sure you didn't accidentally take a look at a dodgy 'adult' DVD my mistake?

Perhaps you could take your parents to a therapist to attempt to drag them out of the 19th Century and into the 21st!

that's hardly nudity. you'll see a lot more by going to the bookstore and looking at some of the fantasy novel front covers.

Yeah. I understand some parents being against games with monthly fees and other things, but that's just odd. There is no nudity in Guild Wars...either they're blind or jump to conclusion by seeing a girl (eve/vizu) on the box.

My dad knows I'm mature and doesn't care much about the ESRB, and there is no nudity, if you look at the rating for Guild Wars, and I quote this off of my CD case, it's rated T for "Violence". Just "Violence".

Moriz - you did mean it's rated T, right? Unless ESRB changed it, which I am doubtful, as I just typed what I see on my CD case.

Personally I think Anet should try to "turn off" more parents so they can keep their immature little brats out of the game.

That's odd, because usually parents born in the US/England are picker at those sorts of things...or at least, from the kind of people I've seen.

And of course you can almost see the girls' breasts. It's like that in reality, and it's more realistic thnn there being no breasts at all. Plus, since it's in a renaissance/medieval time, women had massive breasts back then (lol, see almost any fantasy game/movie).

Oh, and yeah, there should be more blood. ArenaNet is made of ex-Blizzardites, including people who working on WC3, which is full of blood and profanity, and yet even that is ONLY rated T! Surely they can add blood without having to change to M.

personally, i think you just brought them to the wrong box cover. the original GW package featured about 6 different cover arts. let them see the warrior cover art, and they'll probably be fine.

LMAO... I'm a parent and I find the graphics quite appealing (course I play GW too).

On the other side of things, I just think your parents don't want you to have the game so they found something to throw back into your court. I do this sometimes to my girls, especially when I'm against something and I have no real reason to deny them. I mean I see more skin on regular (not nude) beaches.
