Those that bought the pre-Order Package, pop that CD in yuor Disk Drve, go to Concept art, Scroll along and DON'T telll me those aren't Mursaat.
6 Eyes, Flaiing ... Things from the ehad, Flaoting around.
Mursaat Female if you ask me.
To Compare:
The Helms / masks even look a like, And Even looks like the Knights Helm for Female Warrior, and the statues that are broken around Hero's Audience, Which we know is a place (Crystal Desert) that People came long long ago while it was still a great sea to literly "ascend" and Be able to See the "Unseen Gods" aka Mursaat. and we also OFFICIALLY know that Elona is right under the Crystal Desert.
Not to mention the first thing the booklet that came with the Pre - Order says "The God Of the Sun - Elona"
God - Sun - Nightfall - Unseen Ones - Gods - Mursaat
Seems like I'll have more use for Infused Armour After all.
Pre-Order Concept Art - Mursaat!?

They look completely different O.o You use "6 eyes" as a point of comparison between the two, but the Mursaat don't have 6 eyes. They also don't have webbed skin/horn/claws on their heads. The Mursaat have those black mini-wings protruding from the middle of their back, while the protrusions on the game art are coming from the head. Also the mursaat look to have feet, that game-art pic doesn't have feet. And I just noticed taht Mursaat don't have four arms.
If anything, this monster pictured here could be related to the seer, the alien whose race fought the mursaat on another planet. Definitely not mursaat though.
The knight's helm horns and the metal tusk protrusions on the game-arts head may have similar shape, but that's about it.
Comparing that game-art to mursaat is like saying a cat is the same as a dog because they both have big ears, paws, a tail, and walk on all four.
Cat =! Dog
Mursaat =! Game-art
BTW what store had the pre-release. I checked EB, Gamestop, and Bestbuy today on the way home from work and no luck

Actually, that pic DOES look familiar. Didn't the Seer have a few arms and look kinda like that?
That has always been a big question mark in my mind. Just WHO was this seer and he/she seemed pretty hell bent on seeing the mursaat defeated. It wasn't the Lich, but could it have been one of these characters? I had thought it might be glint in disguise, but now I'm not so sure.
I guess we'll find out when the chapter is released.

As far as my interpretation of that creature, I'd agree it's Seer related. Nightfall is supposed to wrap up many, many loose ends from Prophecies. I'm very intrigued. I just hope the Seer isn't the evil, and isn't the bane of all 3 chapters.
Oh no! We've been fulfilling the prophecy for the architects of evil this whole time!

If so, this is a very interesting connection, and might answer a lingering question about the Mursaat. Where did they come from, and what were their motivations?
Now note that I use past tense. I think we're supposed to assume the titans (who must have something against Mursaat to seek them out over other races) drove them to extinction, as seemingly foretold by Glint, but this isn't explicitly shown, and Glint's words are somewhat ambiguous. Does she mean the end of their civilization, or the end of the race itself? It's hard to believe the titans could have wiped them all out, especially considering that almost immediately upon their release, the Lich drove them to attack humanity, specifically, and not the Mursaat.
It is also curious that the Charr seemed to revere them... judging by the totems they build, I believe the big angry kitties actually worship them... ironically much like the White Mantle worshipped the Mursaat, though there may just be something divine about them.
Even running rampant upon the Lich's... er, second... no, fifth and final death, they seemed intent on carrying out the orders received from him. On top of that, they were stopped at HoD, which is most likely South of the Mursaat homeland, which we're led to believe is along the Ullen River... North of Riverside Province, close to the druids of Maguuma who oh so mysteriously disappeared after settling in the jungle, makes sense because it was most likely them who killed the druids, and close enough to Kryta for Saul D'Alessio to find.
It's hard to believe that they went around HoD and proceeded to this are, then cleared the entire area of every single Mursaat. I've never been, but my uncle has gone backpacking (like HARDCORE backpacking) in SE Asia, including Vietnam, and fron the sounds of it, just moving a short distance, on foot, with equipment and knowledge of how to go about it, is a struggle at times in a dense jungle. That's for people, not huge titans.
I think it's not only possible, but given the "loose ends" talk, likely, that we'll see something of the Mursaat in Nightfall. They're down (for good, probably) but not out... yet. At the end of Nightfall they likely will be, barring some shocking revelations about them. I would like to learn more about these powerful and mysterious creatures.
I see a connection in the titans to this new god. If you think about who would create these destructive and chaotic creatures, of all the gods. I really think the Mussart were not technically all evil until they started killing people to keep the prison portals in check. However both the Lich and the Mussart had to die because of their own destructive paths, and due to this to make room for this new god.
Going a little off subject if you look at those chaotic rifts, as well as the chaotic states in the both FoW and UW; I see them as distractions for the gods, to keep their eyes away from the true evil. It’s all pretty much a set up for revenge.
