The Deep elite mission with 6 men!?!?!?!

I don't know if anyone else has done this, but the ELITE group, that i am very proud to be a member of, has successfully ran The Deep with only 6 men. We generally go with 9 men, and have broken the 60 minute mark with that. We decided at that point, that The Deep was no longer challenging enough, and have since gone with 6 men. Our first attempt failed miserably (i wasn't there for that), but our second attempt, we finished in 1 hour 55 minutes (Most 12 man groups are lucky to finish at this speed). I have screen shots to prove this, but I am at work right now, so I will post the screen shots tonight when I get home. If anyone else has done this, and has proof of this, then please post here (I can tell a photoshop job when i see it) and starting with 12 or 9 and finishing with 6 does not count. We started with 6, and went all the way with 6.

So far as I can tell we are the ONLY group who has ever done this, and that is something to be pretty proud of. Most people still laugh at us when we tell them we usually roll with 9, and finish on average 65- 70 minutes. Keep an eye on the GuildWiki builds, since I will be posting the build, and strategy, for the 9 man run. Oh, and a 1 in 6 chance of getting a drop from Kanaxai is much better odds.

The odds are better then 1/6, as Kanaxai drops at least 3 items.

Well yah, it's way better than that, but I'm not gonna do all the math. I am surprised that no one got a double drop though. We usually get a double drop on the 9 man group. Oh well, try again tonight.

-- Oh yeah, forgot to mention, the chance of you NOT getting a Green drop is 125/216. So 91/216 chance of getting at least one, putting the likelyhood in the 40-45% range.

I'll bring it up with the others and see what they say. We don't bother with TS/Vent. We just know where to be and where someone else *should* be sometimes they aren't there lol. But I will bring it up with the others.

LoL. I Got Busy Playing On The Weekend, And Forgot To Post The Pictures. Here They Are. Pictures Edited To Blank Out Names. I Wanted To Include The Names For Bragging Purposes, But No One Else Wanted To. We Agreed To Include First Names Only.

As you can see, we lost Eunice just after we killed Kanaxai, which is pretty good timing.

Edit: Ok, I guess it doesn't show Eunice getting dropped since it's not loading the second image. The second image is our victory party afterwards.

Holy crap. Lucky punks. Man i wish i knew 5 people who would be willing to do this with me. Jeez, thats some skill right there. You should try and post a video, but it would be about 2 hours long, but still, it would be awesome.

The 6 of us used to be an alliance group. and this is with tons of practice and perfecting the 9 man run first.

I have a question. Once you decided to go 6 man, instead of 9 man, did u select certain people to reject from the group, or just whoever 6 were online and wanted to do it at the same time?

We all play different classes in the deep (I go Monk, Warrior, and SS Necro), but we all have our best classes. So there was 6 of us, and we were gonna PuG a couple extra's for our 9 man run, and decided lets just go the 6 of us instead. So I switched to Monk (My best class in the deep, 2nd best monk in the deep next to Tarl) So anyways, yah, we just decided it was the 6 of us online so we went. Now when we go, if there are 9 of us on, then we'll go 9, but if there are only 6 on, then we won't bother with PuG's and just go with 6.

Sorry, builds are top secret. If everyone else could do this, then their'd be to much kanaxai farming going on, and prices would drop again. Nice to [see] them finally going back up again.

The second image: Victory Flex

Oooh, secret build! Let's see...
W/A's
Mainly stances with KD and Recall. Icy weapons for the end. May use war based aoe skills but that would make the Oni shadow step.

N/Me
SS natuarlly. Looks like a well and the norm deep skills. Enchant strip, etc.

E/Mo
Can see the MS. Suspect Prodigy heal/nuker. Or Renewal with energy help.

Mo/Me
Pick your heal build. Enchant strip also likely.

Mo/Rt
Hmm. Heal with a spirit or two. Rez for failure room.

Thanks for posting a link to the picture, appreciated.

You Got the W/A Kinda right.. but the rest more or less wrong. Good luck though

Edit: Oh, and as a side note, the Secondaries for the Monks and the Ele don't matter. They just happen to be the secondaries that were being used at the time.

1 SS
2 Arcane Echo
3 Reckless Haste
4 Desecrate Enchantments
5 (cant see)
6 Well of Blood
7 Blood Ritual
8 (some hex)

Looks pretty standard to me.

congratualations on your run, very nicely done.

On a side note, your blacking out didnt really help the last 4 skills are identifiable and the other 3 are probably easily guessable for someone who has done the deep a lot.

Edit didnt see the post before me. Last hex is spinal shivers I think.
